we believe that the smaller businesses in our area can offer greater pricing then the bigger company's who require larger amounts to cover the overhead of their company, which is passed on the consumer. smaller businesses need to generate a profit as well but at a fraction of the cost.
1. All local businesses wishing to post ads or offers must be accepted to this group first and must have a trade
license if required by the state of Michigan or be registered as a business locally. no open pricing will be allowed by the company , any and all pricing for jobs must be negotiated with the customer in private.
2. consumers are allowed to ask questions of the businesses. and post work they would like estimates on from legitimate company's in the area, never expect the company to publically negotiate a bid for work.
3. ads from company's may include pricing and offers that may as well be posted in other locations
4. this group is open to any small business, family owned, mom and pop shops. home repair and remodeling, auto repair, landscaping, electricians, plumbers, emergency service company's, pet care for example.
5. administrators reserve the right to refuse any consumer or business from joining the group, also reserves the right to remove any consumer or business who refuses to abide by the rules or continues to discredit anyone.
6. foul language will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the group.
7. we understand that complaints do happen from both sides from time to time but publically "verbally bashing" any consumer or company will not be allowed and could possibly result in removal. it will remain on a professional site and all post will remain that "professional"
8. consumers wishing to gain information on "licensing requirements", " contract negotiations" or how the "work process" is performed may post those questions and have them answered by the business owners of the group.
9. "handyman services" businesses that advertise as "handyman" or "service repairman" although not required by the state to be licensed as such, are still required to follow state laws which state that if a license is required for a particular type of service, that you may not contract work for over $600.00 labor and materials combined. this will be strictly adhered to and if Administrators are made aware of any business in violation of the state law, that business will be removed from the group.
10. Administrators of the group reserve the right to review any of the rules of the group and make changes as they deem necessary
our plan is to make this a safe reliable group where the consumer can find reliable services from trusted businesses in the area whos pricing fits with-in their budgets.
