My name is Michelle, and my husband Todd and I have been caring for canines for 30 years. then raising and training hounds for coyote hunting. We are not just passionate about our Labradors, we're passionate about people that love and appreciate their wonderful qualities. Waco needs a new home. The widow who owns Waco is moving and downsizing and can't take him with her. He is an intact male goldendoodle. He is 4 yrs old. Good with kids and other dogs. House trained. Very energetic! May need updated shots. Waco was the husband's and he passed a couple years ago from cancer. Please share so we can help this lady out with finding a loving home for her wonderful pup. He is located in the New Holstein, WI area.

Here at The Labrador Lodge we offer a Guardianship program. We feel that this program is greatly beneficial to our dogs. The guardianship program allows our dogs to be in their forever homes right away. If you are looking for a pup or a young adult dog and can’t afford to buy one, then the guardianship program maybe a good fit for you.

For female guardianships:

- The Guardian family is financially responsible for regular vet checks for vaccinations, monthly Heartgard, and quarterly Bravecto. The Labrador Lodge will cover the cost of the spay/neuter once the dog’s breeding career is done.

- Once your pup is 2 years old, she will go to our reproductive veterinarian in Lomira for some testing to see if she is a good candidate for our breeding program.

- If she is a good fit for the program, then we will bring her back to our facility for approximately 4 days to be bred. After the 4 days she will return to you.

- 5 weeks after she was bred, she will return to our reproductive veterinarian for an appointment to confirm pregnancy. This visit takes approximately one hour. After the appointment she goes back home to you until about 5 days prior to her due date.

- About 5 days before she is due, she will have another appointment with our reproductive veterinarian to do an x-ray that will give us a good idea on how many puppies she has. After this appointment she returns to our facilities for delivery and stays until the puppies are weaned (approximately 6 wks.) Once the puppies are weaned, she will then go back to you.

- That process is the breeding process that will be repeated 2-3 times.

For male guardians:

-We will just need access to the male for breeding purposes. This will be for a couple days in a row when the female is in heat.

We have some dogs/pups currently in guardian programs and it is a win-win situation.
