Car progress: 2.5 years ago, he would leap past your head while driving and dive for the pedals, and twist himself up so badly he'd choke. 1 year ago, he would chew through his harness, leash, and seatbelt. Today, he was the bestest boi. He was calm. He was eager, he was interested, he was polite. He stayed buckled in his seat, and all restraints were intact and saliva free.
Vet progress: 2.5 years ago he did not want to be touched by anyone but me, and occasionally Trevor. We could not trim his nails or check his mouth without him snarling. He would snap, growl, and bark at any new dog or human. 1 year ago, he would not allow new men to touch him, had to be lightly sedated and restrained to administer vaccinations, and would lightly snarl through all appointments. Today? He was the bestest boi. Only lightly sedated, he allowed 2 new men to examine him, took treats through the whole appointment, and was a good boy through an ultrasound and X-ray. He even politely greeted 2 dogs in the vet office!
I'm so proud.
