HTG’s fam update 🤍 we want to apologize for not posting as regularly as we normally do. We have been soaking up the early days with our new baby girl. We do want to update all of our followers with some news, as we could use some love and support over these next few weeks/months!
Our sweet Sophie girl collapsed a few weeks back. Turns out she had a ruptured mass on her spleen and recovered very well from a splenectomy. Unfortunately, the biopsy results came back as Hemangiosarcoma. The absolute worst kind of canine cancer.
During surgery, the vet did not see any other masses, so we are hoping for the maximum possible time with our crazy girl before another pops up on another organ. We are heartbroken, but we can tell you one thing - this girl is so loved.
We will continue to wake up each day and give her the biggest snuggles and love!!! Because one day soon she will very quickly go downhill.
Sophie is our rescue and came into our lives 8 years ago. And she will be turning 11 years old on 10/30. Whenever we tell people that she is almost 11, it blows their mind. She is the most spunky, athletic, WILD, sweet and affectionate older golden I’ve ever seen and I am so blessed to have had her as mine for the last 8 years. And our daughter is just as obsessed with her. 🥲
We will continue to update as time goes on with our sweet girl! For now she is as crazy and normal acting as ever, so we are hoping that continues for many weeks to come!! 🤍🤍🤍 sending biggest thanks for all of the love to our Sophie girl.
