Our Story

Canadian entrepreneur Connor McAndrew founded The Loyal Butcher Co. in 2018 because he wanted to help improve the health of other dogs through nutrition. He never felt his Cane Corso Dante was receiving proper nutrition. Like most dog owners the immediate reaction was to put Dante on a kibble based diet but was hesitant as he had his suspicions on the ingredients and methods in which it is processed. He tried multiple brands and nothing seemed to work for Dante and there was always his worry for his health and what the long term effects could be.

After having done research on the alternatives, talking with holistic vets, breeders and raw feeders. It made the most sense to have a dog on a biologically appropriate diet. Meat, organ and bone.

Since having changed over to a raw diet the benefits have been less stool, less gas, fresher breath, reduced dog odor, reduced shedding, cleaner teeth, enhanced hydration, healthier coat & skin to name a few.

A balanced diet occurs over time and changes based on the needs of the dog at that time in a dogs life. The Loyal Butcher Co. was created to help guide fellow dog owners through the dog’s transition and their on-going journey as well as bring exclusive products and culture to their clientele.
