Where there's a will, there's a way! We think that with a little more practice, Nash will become a bowling pro. Next step is to get the ball on the actual lane!😂

This big Pit-O-Potamus enjoys affection. He is a big boy that needs some work on leash manners.
Dog friendly with his "sister" Eve and seems to prefer the ladies but does well walking past other dogs. Can be overstimulated and possibly leash reactive when trying to introduce him to other male dogs.

Eve is a beautiful and happy gal. Loves belly rubs and being silly.

Echo’s backstory is heartbreaking. He was in an abusive home where he was also targeted and tragically lost his person when she was murdered.

Intact Male, ~1-2 yo, 73 lbs

A stunning big boy with a great temperament. Lots of young boy energy and he will need structure, exercise and enrichment. Has done well around other dogs but needs help learning how to be a dog and likes to put paws on the other dog. Unfortunately we thought we had a foster to adopt but he was just a little too much energy for their older dog.

PIT BOWL X!

Nash had an absolute BLAST hanging out with the league bowlers and Arlington Lanes family this past Saturday night.

Because we are hosting our Pit Bowl X on February 22nd at 6:30pm at Arlington Lanes, we thought it would be fun to spread the word, meet some pros and have some Saturday night fun.

To say that Nash, and his escorts (us!), were embraced with an excited warmth is an understatement! Nash was lavished with hugs and kisses, and lots of good rubbies. So many people shared the stories of their rescued pets and their passion for the rescue community. It was so heart warming and inspirational!

We really hope to see them all at Pit Bowl X, and we want you there, too! Pizza, raffle and auction prizes, bowling, the greatness that comes from hanging out with fellow rescue- minded pet loving people and of course, our Ben!

This is such a joyful family event, a feel-good way to spend an evening. Bring your kids, family and friends!

PIT BOWL X!

Phew, we made it through another week and our stint with Chicago snow is behind us. Now to look forward.

This little dude has a pretty awesome form and from the looks of things is going to be a pro, that ball is heading toward a strike. And it all happened at one of our Pit Bowl fundraisers!

This is such a joyful family event, a feel-good way to spend an evening with your favorite people, our beautiful Ben and us!

$5 (Feline) Friday!

Though we are a Pit bull rescue, sometimes other creatures in need pass our paths and we just have to help.

Loki and Luna came to us over two years ago when their only human, their mommy, died suddenly. They, their kitty and doggie siblings were going to be dumped at the local animal control or worse yet, let loose to fend for themselves.

Thankfully, one of our board members jumped to action and brought them into her home and family where they are being fostered and cared for. To think about Loki and Luna losing their mommy, home and siblings in a matter of a few short weeks broke our hearts. But that they were going to be discarded like trash, well, that's a whole new level of evil.

These two bonded sweethearts are doing really well, our hearts are now filled with joy for them. They go in for their annual shots, blood work and checkups in a few weeks (shhhhh, they din't know this yet!).

If you are able to donate a few bucks toward their "field trip" , we would greatly appreciate it! Your support has allowed us to care for our blessed rescued pets like Loki and Luna...Thank You!

P.S. Their kitty and doggie siblings found their forever homes as well. It was a sweet miracle indeed!

And to make you smile, here's our first pic of the year. It's Ben, celebrating today with his bestie, Spinelli. We're not sure what they were thinking, but apparently one of Ben's resolutions is to up his style game...and Spinelli kindly offered him a cat tail toupee.

Merry Christmas!

Ben got to spend time with Santa and as you can see, could not believe it was actually him! Yep, Santa made sure he visited Ben and Ben got to whisper his wishes into Santa's ear.

We love that Ben is settled into a home for the holidays, has love overflowing and is living a good and blessed life!

We wish you, your family and friends a beautiful day filled with moments bursting with love and magic, happy and musical memories. And that you feel the precious goodness of this wondrous holiday!

Have fun, enjoy time spent with those you love and know that this little rescue is so very grateful for all you do to support us in so many ways.

This is our sweet Ben recovering after his surgery earlier today. We are so very grateful that Ben is on this side of surgery and is now home resting comfortably.

Thank you so much for the prayers, healing thoughts and energy sent to Ben. And the love. ❤️

Today is surgery day for Ben to get those two naughty mast cell tumors removed.

Ben is ready to put this behind him and with everything in us, we hope that this is his last surgery. No more tumors!

Please say prayers for our precious boy, send love and healing thoughts his way, and good vibes that the tumors prove to be low grade. We know the magic of all things good works!
