I am absolutely shocked right now with what popped up in the downunder line. A Manx! 😍 He/she will be a Permanent pet with us to monitor any health issues that could rise up with being Manx but for now it’s doing great!

Because of everything going on with my mom I have decided to let these 2 younger females (Tonkinese, and black Berkshire) find new mischiefs to join or the start to their own… Tonkinese girl gives kisses and the black Berkshire likes to nibble at your nails (as you see in the pic) but she’s never bitten hard but can be snatchy with treats. If you’d like to come meet these lovely lady’s feel free to reach out.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Re 🏠

I have this very sweet, roughly 1-year-old Bristle Coat male named Jakey that was surrendered on July 4th for being aggressive towards his cagemates to the point where he landed some good bites. However, he is ridiculously sweet to people and loves cheek rubs, so I feel like he deserves a chance at finding a permanent place that can work with him. He CANNOT be housed with other males, and I cannot stress enough that he will need to be neutered and placed with females if he’s going to have the best chance at being housed with other rats. Before anyone asks, yes, I am working with the surrendering person to make sure we can find the right fit for this hunk. If you're interested in meeting him, please feel free to reach out.

Hope everyone had an amazing and safe 4th of July! 💚 (picture never posted)

I’ve debated posting but I hope no one minds that I vent a moment. 😔 I can't explain the emotions of someone you love having terminal cancer and make prior arrangements for their own passing. She (my mom) is just going to live life the best she can for the year-ishh that she's got. She's going on an Alaska cruise in July, and this summer will be filled with lots of memories. Something's will be quiet and slow for a bit as we all take the time to go through this entire grieving journey. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏻😔

On the lighter side, rats make incredible companions and distractions. Mouzer kisses are just the best, in my opinion. 🤭They were a bit spunky tonight, lol.

Re 🏠

Morning everyone. Not sure what happed to the post but… These two identical yet different (white on belly are different) twin boys are looking for new cages. DOB is November 15th 2023 and was not bred here so genetics are unknown. They are timid but comes out of hiding to investigate. They have never bitten and handles hands pretty well. They are still relatively young so I think with more consistency they’d turn out to be pretty good pets. Feel free to message me if you’d be interested in meeting them

18/01/2024

Good evening everyone. I want to apologize for my absence in posts. I have had a few people reach out to me privately asking where I have been, so now that I have answers to give I can explain. Back in October of 2023, my mom began having pain in her kidney area. She thought maybe her overs were still trying to "lay an egg" as my mom says, lol but when the pain didn't stop, we started thinking maybe Kidney stones. Fast-forward to August, she ended up having a CT scan where they found an extremely large mass on her left kidney. It was suspected cancer. So she went in to have Dye injected to confirm cancer or not and in November we got the confirmation it was Renal Cell Carcinoma Kidney Cancer, possibly stage 4, because of how large the mass is. They talked about it being the size of a grapefruit... Thankfully, after more tests, they put her not in stage 4 but in stage 2 or 3, which gives us greater hope she can fight this. As recently as the 11th of this month, because of her being anemic, they wanted her to have an iron infusion. She told the cancer doctor that she was allergic to the iron pills and infusions and found that out when she was pregnant. He convinced her it was different, against our best judgment, she went with it and that they would do a 1-hour test run to see how she could handle the infusion. They also gave her steroids knowing she's highly allergic to that as well, so my mom let the nurse know she was having massive pain in her lower belly. The nurse asked her if she was light-headed and my mom said yes for the past half hour or so and the one minute it took that nurse to go get the doctor, they found my mother unresponsive in her chair. Between the iron infusion and the steroids, it was enough of a cocktail to plummet her blood pressure to the point they couldn't even get a reading on the BP cup. Thank god my moms care giver was there cause I would have never known til after the fact when the hospital called me cause she messaged me to rush down to Albany. They they got her back and took her to the ER across the street. Scary! Anyway, she will be having surgery on the 24th of this month to remove the mass and her left Kidney. Her right kidney is smaller than her left so she'll most likely be on Dialysis. She'll be up at OHSU for a few days and then be home to rest, so please, send all your wishes, prayers, and or thoughts her way so that she makes it through surgery, recovers quickly, and beats this cancer.

We are Rooting for you Mom! You got this!

Bear with me because this is going to be quite the long post so I can cover several things... Good grief here we go again and after this, each one of you rather in that group or associated with someone in that group can f**k off! Yes, I said it, f**k off cause I am done.

Claim one: " I will make you a great deal and give you them for x instead of paying ###."
- If Rowen Harper Brown or parents come to me privately and ask for a refund I have no problem doing so after I get the rats back and I am given the info to where she wants her refund sent unless she wants cash like she paid. She reached out on Wednesday the 16th asking about rats. I happen to have a couple of males just over 3 months old. There was NEVER talk about other breeders and or their prices at any time. She was not discounted for simply coming to me over someone else... I offered the discount because they are just over 3 months give or take a few days which does not make them adults, it makes them juveniles. Please correct me if I’m wrong! I have attached the ENTIRE conversation between that Minor and myself to prove that I did in fact reach out to check in as well was no talk of discounts for coming to me. When her dad, she, and another person came they stood here for a good 10+ minutes messing with them, picking them up and even holding them on their backs to rub the tummies as I required anyone to do so whether it was here at home or in a public meet up and there was zero issues. They saw how they acted here so why are they supposedly “aggressive” all of a sudden is beyond me especially when I have a video showing their calm demeanor. I did in fact reach out and ask her Monday, August 21st how the boys were doing and she said "Good! Moose (the martin) is still very skittish, but Peanut (siamese) is very sweet and will come up to me and let me hold him, They are eating and drinking and sleeping normally." Now I’m being sent posts about how they are aggressive and all this so why didn’t she reach out with such major “new” updates that she and dad AGREED to give when signing the application? Contact me so we can figure it out but if you choose to not bring the rat back or reach out to me then don't sit there and complain about it. I have even offered to give medication (Baytril and Doxyvet) if rats show sickness after going home because I keep meds on hand or ill offer to exchange the rat, or refund in general. They decide IF they would like to proceed with taking them home, I don’t force anyone and I have certainly never guilted anyone into taking more rats. The only thing I have ever said was I prefer to place trios so if one passes you won't necessarily have to go threw with finding a new cage mate. The reason they end up getting more is usually because they cannot decide between what 2 they want and is usually tossed between 3. I get told one thing In my inbox but then they go telling you guys something else but refuse to update me on these changes even when I had reached out for a check in. Have people claimed the rats lunged and blah blah.. yes but when I say “Hey, send me a video…” no one does, and even if they did and the rat is actually doing such things then I have always offered to take the rat back to either exchange or refund. When those who claimed aggression did gave the rat(s) back I kept them to observe and maybe a couple of times I actually had real issues with aggression and I no longer worked with those lines. Just like the picture of the eaten babies… I did NOT work with those lines after that. One issue was with a black and white boy that someone returned for “running across the room to attack” ended up being kept by Remy Memorial Rattery and entered into her breeding program at the time. She never had issues with attacks from him and or babies and couldn’t figure out why.. When I mentioned we had no issues she thought I was blaming them which was not at all the case. One was also a white rat (same owner for the black and white boy) sent in a video of being pet then all of a sudden opening its mouth like it was going to grab or nip the finger. She chose to keep that rat instead of giving him back. Why the hell do you think I no longer work with the bristle coat line? Boys were developing HA at 8 months so I decided to stop working with those lines and my white-sided line had hydrocephalus. Now I don't pair anyone til they are 6 months minimum to watch for these issues.

Claim two: “All she cares about is money.”
I don’t give a s**t about the money and I certainly don’t care what others charge. I also have never turned people away simply because they got rats from other people nor have I offered discounted rats to get them to come to me over someone else because again, I don’t give a s**t. I support my rats with 90% of my own money and when funds are received from rats it all goes back into them for new toys, hammocks, bedding, food, you name it. I have given plenty of FULL refunds to people when they have asked after returning rats so you can kiss my ass with that.

Claims Three, Four, and Five: As far as keeping track of lines or how I only clean when someone’s coming over… I know who each rat is related to... I have the birthdays of every single rat that I have in my possession and notes in my book about lines who have had either MC (megacolon) as well as the suspected tumors in the patchworks which both claims were NOT done by necropsy to confirm and I have two 8-month-old patchworks right now to see if these signs pop up. So far so good.
- Cleaning cages when people come over: When Kristin did come over it was always on Fridays before picking her son up from school for her weekend visits so she would come into town early to pass the time til she had to pick up her son. She always played with the babies and such while I cleaned them. Friday had always been my cleaning day and she knew this. Now cleanings happen on Mondays because trash day is Tuesday. Feel free to send animal control any day of the week after Monday if you’d like. Surprise me. I don't have S**T to hide or s**t to prove to any of you!
- Just because I used racks doesn’t make them abused and Secondly, just because the cages arnt totally decked out with hides, hammocks, or toys galore all the time doesn’t mean they don’t get any of those either. Over stocked cages? lol, please. I put no more than 6 adult rats in each critter nation (double cage separated into two cages) which is not crowding. If they are young rats then sometimes I'll do up tp 8 to a cage until they are bigger and then its back to 6 at most. Sometimes I’ll even have two litters and 2 mommas sharing the large critter nation cage from 3 weeks old up to 5 weeks when the kits get gender separated and added to their own cage. This is not overcrowding.

Claim six: - The picture of the rat with missing fur and scabs… that girl was named Harley because she was a Harley coat, obviously. She was a surprise that showed up so I kept her but never bred her because she was always on the smaller side and didn’t have the best coat. Some Harleys have thin or patchy fur spots so when that little girl lost her fur and got scabs it was because she had a reaction to the mites or lice (can’t remember which) from the wood shavings so she and everyone were treated and someone mentioned coconut oil so lathered her up a couple of times a day and within a week or so her fur grew back in lovely and I believe found placement later on after she healed. I also learned Harley’s can be sensitive to protein so I switched food to the 6F which has less of it. She was not freaking sick, get your facts straight..

The only reason any of these screenshots were shared by Fat Ramz to begin with, was because she lied to her fiancé about something and I told him what actually happened after she accused me of blaming her for my first Downunder's death and I NEVER did and still don't blame her for it… Shortly after, everything else followed and was shared for the first time. After all of that, I NEVER told a SOUL some of the things Fat Ramz said about other breeders. I never exposed how she sat in my garage and tossed two of my rats together right in front of my roommate at the time after I had told her I wasn't sure what I was doing with them rather that was finding new placements or pairing. After I found out she went behind my back, I made her take those rats home and deal with all that came with breeding. She asked questions, my self and Remy answered all the questions she had throughout the process and even allowed her to find placements for the litter... She learned a lot of what she knows from myself and from Remy's which we learned from other breeders. That is how she (Tessa or Bob Ross) fell in love with breeding and after that, she got more breeding stock from me and from Remy's memorial rattery when they were active. What’s mind-blowing is Fat Ramz still continued to come over to hang out with me and smoke w**d with my then-roommate at the time before leaking the screenshots which again that entire conversation never got posted, She took the bit that made me look f**ked up, and ran with it. Fat Ramz continued business with me after she leaked the abuse accusations the first time and even after saying she hated me for not giving her that Martin boy who was found by a dog and surrendered to me because Bob brought me a Martin down under and eventually a male Silverman to help darken my masks and temperament as I had no luck but wanted it to hush so others wouldn't see so why is that? I wouldn’t want to continue coming back to someone If I was truly convinced they did it. There is much more that I wont get into.

- Have mistakes been made on my part, Absolutely and I have owned those mistakes, learned from them, and even apologized for them and that wasn't enough. The two rats in that container...I went to YouTube for CO2 chambers and found one of a woman in her bathroom with a mouse she needed to pts. She used white Vinegar and Baking soda and explained how to do it. Said it made the same CO2 gas so yes, I attempted it and I didn't like it because it took longer and that was the one and ONLY time I had ever attempted that. I found a good CO2 video and made one. Am I still learning? Absolutely and I will continue to learn all of the things and ask as many questions as I have to. I have a learning disability, so I don't retain information like most, so sometimes I have to ask and re-ask for confirmation. Do you guys bash others in some of the groups such as Rat Varieties- Color, Coat, and Type when they ask questions about color or genetics in general, or how some of them post about using tote bins or rack systems? The fact you guys actually sit there and mock my learning disability by calling me stupid and have mocked in the past the fact I'm disabled in general due to my hips from when I was 5 is disgusting and speaks nothing but volumes on the type of people each one of you all are and if people want to support that... Go for it! To think some of you "adults" have children with learning disabilities or disabilities in general. I sure as hell never said I was perfect or better than anyone else… that came from your guy's mouths and to set the record straight on how long I've been breeding.. I began breeding in 2016 and entered the pet side of breeding roughly in 2018 with guidance from two other well-known and respected Ratterys, where I learned everything I know. That is when I believe got the Roan from California (I learned alot from her as well) and the Silvermane from another breeder who HAD permission from the Original breeder to share said lines with me. That is what started my Golden Siamese, Bristlecoat, Dwarf Martin Line, and so forth. Prior to that I bred a little in high school for a couple of years so roughly 8 years in total.

- Lastly... Do you guys even know or understand how SDAV works? From the Charles River website, it says "If an SDAV infection is detected in an animal facility, depopulation, thorough cleaning, and restocking is recommended. As an enveloped virus, it probably does not remain infectious in the environment for more than a few days and is susceptible to detergents, disinfectants, drying, and ethanol. If animals must be kept, euthanasia of all non-essential animals and a strict quarantine (negative pressure isolators work well in this case) is recommended until the animals can be rederived. Hysterectomy rederivation or embryo transfer are recommended to rederive infected colonies. “Burn out” of an SDAV infection through the deliberate spread of infection and cessation of breeding until all rats are infected and have had time to clear the virus has also been shown to be effective for immunocompetent rats," I called and spoke to Charles myself and did what he advised and by that time testing was not necessary nor would have made a difference. If I had actually had the virus then it would have affected literally everyone. He advised me to put them on the same dirty bedding and I did so EVERYONE would be exposed IF I had something. Guess what? No one else died. During that time I held off on pairing for about 6 months and watched every single one to make sure no other deaths happened. Several asked why I was not placing rats at that time and told them that we had a few sudden deaths and to be cautious None was coming in and none was leaving and was taking a break so I could watch health and temperments so no, just because I didn't make a public announcement to freak everyone out doesn't mean I didn't tell them in privet messages. Maybe you should worry about why you’re so worried about what I’m doing and be more worried about being the little saints you think you are.

End Of Rant.

These last few boys are now seeking new cages to join. Will only let singles go if you have current rat friends, otherwise they must go in pairs. They were all born in May so they are ready to go. Feel free to reach out with questions or if you’d like to meet them. No that is not their cage.
