Mays title finally came in, which means,
For your consideration.
Lady may is a 2yo mustang from maverick medicine Nevada.
She was my partner for the 2023 KY TIP challenge.
She got 7th out of 12.
She handles show life great, hauling, staying in stall!
She stands for farrier, bath and in general.
She is a growing filly so baby brain of course can still come into play.
She has been with me for over a year and she has been great.
She also has been in 2 different pastures, one had a donkey, chickens, goats turkeys etc and she does good with them!
Now she is just with a horse, goats and chickens.
Handles laying on her, having a saddle on, have not tightened it all the way but has felt pressure around her stomach. Been over and had tarps on her, bull whips, over creeks, hills. Loud noises ✅
Kids✅ dogs✅ etc.
She is your ideal horse to start with ease with your direction of discipline.
Cute little cutting horse, jumper, trail.
I love this horse and will be picky.
For more information please pm me!
I’m putting 2 weeks of training in her before she goes! Longer she stays $ goes up!

I never really dress to impress when I ride.
I may not do “ the right things “ by equestrian people.
My methods are different than others.
Which by me is great.
The other night I just wanted to hop on, I didn’t have a purpose of what I wanted to “ work on “ for hours. I needed to just feel confident and connected to the earth for 40 mins. I hopped on with off brand hey dudes, shorts and a cut off shirt. I kept my balance and worked on turning and flexibility.
Jazz is a great get on and practice horse, she let me trot and lope on her just around the pasture.
For what I wear doesn’t mean I’m any less of a horse trainer, your balance and how you care for what you’re doing to the horse is the most important thing.

Joe left over a week ago to go back home and now I am working with a female version of him lol
Welcome jazz! Around 20yo saddlebred.
She is here for a tune up
So far we have been working on ground work, getting her more flexible, seeing what she likes and doesn’t like, working on getting her to pick up her feet and move better.
Excited to see how this month with her goes!

Ships don't sink because of the water around them,
Ships sink because of the water that gets in them, don't let what's happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.
Sometimes you get discouraged, lose interest, lose motivation and what's crazy, is that's ok, your feelings are valid. I have been there before and am alittle now.
With work, personal issues, fitting everything in, trying to make things work and overthink the future.
What I have been doing this past week is living in the moment and slow down a little and learn to enjoy it.
Be outside more, more adventures in nature and time with my horses and training horses.
Take time for yourself. Light that candle, spend time doing nothing for an evening. Do your chores and let your animals rest. They rest way more then you.
If you don't take care of yourself who will take care of them?
❤️

Joe Joe
Joe has been here 15 days and even with our short lessons he has had a change in his attitude.
He seems to pay more attention and is trying to please. He is just used to, brushing, ride, done.
Here we take our time brushing, do some ground work, tack, more lunging, desensitizing. Then ride, untack, hang out, then we are done.
He will be working on his buddy sour issue.
Him and boomer are literally like two peas in a pod but not the kind you want lol.
I can say I worked 2 horses at once tonight so that does make me feel better.
Joe is becoming a nice partner to work with.

I would like to welcome a new member to the crew!
Boomer !
This has been my heart horse for over 7 years.
Some of you may remember him about 4 years ago I trained him for a month.
I have always had a spot in my heart for him.
I'm so blessed to have this opportunity to keep him and call him mine.
So excited for our future together ❤️

Paisley is one of my new students!
She hasn't really been around horses but has loved them for awhile.
She was so excited to be out and with the horses.
She is a quick learner and got Trey to walk by her side and do a little routine.
She is learning how to walk with him, stop, turn.
Proud of her already!
Gavin Glasgow

Also proud of Winston for letting them touch and give him treats!

Nothing feels greater then a great bond with a horse but when it used to be a wild mustangs it's even better.
Once being scared and HARD to catch and not wanting to be by me.
To now trusting her to be let out with or without a horse.
Today we had a walk around the field next to us.
She was free without a halter and lead.
I had my personal horse with me Trey with halter and lead because he will run everywhere.
I did take it off to get may to lay down he was more focused on eating lol
I'm very blessed to have calm headed horses.
I took the time to train them to be this calm 💓

Another short lesson with may.
Just worked on being softer and more responsive with lunging.
Then of course had to work on our lay down cue.
She is getting better. Lays down right away when using the rope so I'm trying to ease her off of the rope with a cue. ❤️

Winston!
Still love how on his own and maybe %30 of me and my mother just walking up and petting him and me working on a few liberty cues and of course treats he seems to follow me everywhere and just seems calmer.
He is looking for a home!

For your consideration.
Winston is a 3yo gelding from paramint, CA.
Standing at 12h
He was once a wild burrow now gentled.
He is still very shy and can get nervous, his confidence reflects on yours.
I got him in March of 2023 for the KY trip challenge and had 100 days with him before we showed in July.
He and I made it to every class and did what we could!
He wants to please and try and that's why I like him.
He has been over tarps, pedestals. Dragged a log, been over poles. Bull whips are fine, he can lunge both ways. he currently shares a space with 2 horses, goats, chickens, ducks, geese. So he is completely fine with that and is fine with dogs.
He ok with his hoofs getting done, getting better each time.
Loading is his weakness.
He doesn't have as much training as I would have wanted for him but will make a good pasture pet or a good project!
This guy has been a very difficult one so where he goes I'll be picky.
no BLM paperwork he is SA.
Located in Nashville TN.

I still think about my first complete wild mustang and how I see may is a lot like Oakley. Her calm eyes and her trying side is coming out more.
His attitude of " I don't wanna do this " is exactly like hers.
My heart deep down wanting nothing more than to keep him. He was my first mustang and I won grand champion with him at the 2021 AL TIP challenge
When I watched him leave my property, I was in tears.
I.
I'm not sure how many people know this but may wasn't supposed to be in the competition.
I actually wanted to just adopt her for myself to train for a few months, I missed having a little yearling around something told me out of the 15+ of fillys and colts I wanted her, then the host of the tip challenge told me i could add her and I agreed.
I can't imagine not having her. She somehow sparked my excitement of starting my own horse.
I'm so grateful for her and I'm obsessed with her.
Still so excited for this journey.
First 2 pictures are of Oakley
The last 2 pictures are of May.

This morning we did a 15 minute session of playing with the pad. We already did a lot of prepping for the saddle and even had a pony saddle on her when she was in training for the competition so it didn't phase her at all.
She would make a cute little English pony 🥺
My next few sessions will be having the big tarp over her, putting random things on her all at once, so she can hear the noises and some odd pressure.
🥺 she is so cute

Well well
Hello everyone! It's been quite awhile since I have posted.
Since the competition everyone has been on a break.
Other then catching, brushing, working on just small things.
Today I played with may alittle, she got all of her hooves done like a pro!
Then I wanted to see how fast she would lay down so I set everything up and she just laid down!
So I sat by her for a few minutes then decided to lay on her. I was able to lay on her for a little over 2 minutes and she shot straight up lol
Which is fine she didn't like the pressure so we will try again soon but she handled me climbing all over her!
I'm planning on keeping her and starting her undersaddle! She is young so a lot of her training will be more desensitizing, walking the trails, having her carry proper weight for her age and putting some saddles on her. Getting her ready!
Super excited about this journey and will be updating as we train!
Hope everyone is having a great month of Oct!

I have not done good at keeping y'all updated and I am sorry!
Jack and Winston got a bath, may got to practice trailer loading.
We are half packed lol it's just the little details of getting everything to fit.
Should be easy.
My nerves have kicked in around 8:30 and I feel sick lol. Pretty normal around this time.
I'm just ready to hit the road!
See y'all in the AM!
