May may video updates.
I have been somewhat behind, work life and trying to do anything for myself has taken my time away from these guys but I'm getting my schedule changed soon so I'll have more time to get going!
Yesterday morning may worked on my small obstacle course and nailed it!
I made sure to get her first reaction on camera so this was her first time walking on it!
Her only issues we are working on are listening lol
Talk about a baby brain and her overthinking. She has all of the above, so a lot of going over the same situation so she can understand and letting her figure it out. Once she figures it out she has it nailed.
I love the brain on this filly!
Soon she will be shaved!! So excited to see her dark coat
In this video Winston was just 3-4 days from being in holding and picked up. So this was were we were at, not leading, pulling, trying to slowly bolt a few times.
I would just keep the pressure until steps were made and zigzag to get him to move a little.
He was getting the idea until he was bored and wanted to go to his friend which was the left side where you see him pull on me the most.
We just kept doing the same thing and I would release where he would give in and not pull on me. Or when a foot was moved forward.
Now we can walk a straight line which is like " two feet forward" lol but he gives to pressure a little easier now and is still effy about me petting him but when I take my hands off and back away he looks at me like why did you stop??
So it's kinda a weird spot we are in and I know he just needs more time to understand me and what I'm asking. Our progress is still better than the first day!
He will always remind me of a sweet old innocent man ❤️
We will keep moving forward for sure!
Literally a definition of a slow ass 😅

This little guy is moving right along.
Took him 20 minutes to understand that I wanted him to jump or go over the logs but once I showed him how to walk over he seemed to catch on!
He is blossoming. He likes to overthink alot of situations so we are now working on some confident building, learning on how to think about the situation instead of blowing up. Slow process but he will get there.
She can jump? Lol
It's hard to film and make sure to give her a better cue but she did good!
We have been shaping what we have to get better before for the show (:
She is starting to get a more collective trot!
She is doing good ❤️ (:
Benatar!! Who are you??
.
This is not the horse 37 days ago that I couldn't catch or lead?? Who are you??
.
Benatar wore the Surcingle this morning only blew up once and was tense for awhile but I made it as calm as possible and she finally acted like it was nothing!
I have been working on liberty and tricks on the low not putting too much effort in as I mainly am working on lunging, obstacles, basic manners, showmanship.
To help with our classes.
So for her to willingly to do even tho she knows she doesn't have too. Blew my mind and I'm super happy with our progress.
I will be posting more this week!

She's coming out of her shell.
I was cleaning yesterday and she came up to the door and stayed around even tho she can go eat.
Just little moments I appreciate so much ❤️
