We helped rescue these two Rott babies (German mastiffs) from the California kill shelter last week. Your generous tips went to support the rescue that saved them and found them homes.💛

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀
oh em gee. I was in LOVE with this sweet girl. She's definetly a low rider bully mix of some sort and has had babies. But she was so loveable. We just spent time together giving her all the pets she absolutely demanded. We then went to sit on a bench and girly jumped right up, which I was suprised since she is so short! She just wants to be all up on you and you give her all the love and attention that she deserves. She walks great on leash too! We walked by some other dogs who were barking at her and she turned the other way like the queen she is.

#2 NO MOM LEFT BEHIND!! Sallie came in with her puppies that were adopted out. She had 1 little nugget left last weekend and she wanted all the treats and attention. Took treats so gently and could use a few good meals after nursing who knows how many litters.

Oh sweet Rustle. He was so gentle and wary coming out of his kennel but he did! He kinda loves to give side eye 24/7 which I thought was hilarious. He seems down for being at the shelter so long but when he saw other dogs come up to the fence he instantly got tail wags. He was so calm and chill in the run with me. He actually laid on the bed and just wanted to hang out outside. Didnt want to play or run or mingle..... just chill. My kinda guy! A crazy pup was next to us and it didnt bother him at all... he basically minded his own business. He is full of scars so who knows what his past was like and even so, he is so so sweet! On leash, he walks nice and slow, right by your side the entire time.

11/14 Sitting quietly in kennel, head low and a bit timid when reaching in to leash but walked with loose leash and tail down in S-shape out to runs, loose leash back. Quiet in kennel throughout day.

I learned to love animals with my mother. She grew up with animals and since very early age she showed me to respect them, to treat them as sentient beings, to appreciate their uniqueness.
Since I can remember we had dogs and cats around. I would not be the person I am today without it.
Animals give us confidence in ourselves. We learn to protect others and to defend the weak. I have observed all of my assistants develop a strong sense of direction, purpose and confidence they never had before by knowing animals.

The way we treat animals is being observed by the young. They are watching us, and our care for them translates into higher values later in life: mercy, respect, compassion, responsibility.

Animals show us higher values, and now more than ever I find comfort in them.

Today my mother left this Earth in physical form. She was the first one to teach me kindness and love. She was the first one to show me that animals are our friends. She loved and fed many stray cats and dogs daily.

I ask that you give me a little space the next couple days as I make sense of all this. If I need to reschedule you will get a text from me, if not we will continue as planned.

There is comfort in knowing she lives within each cell in me, and will continue to live in every animal that I love and care for.
