Tails from the Shelter By Barkhouse Our goal is to keep animals from going into the shelter. This page will share those in need of help.

The help may be a short term foster, a forever home adopter or a driver able to transport for their freedom ride. Tails from the Shelter is a transport program of Barkhouse , a 501c3 animal welfare organization located in New Mexico. We save the lives of pets that are on death row of NM animal shelters and transport them to safety.

General information

We are foster based rescue. To save lives, we need loving foster homes. Tails from the Shelter makes a commitment to all our rescued dogs to watch over them for life. We require that if one of our dogs ever proves unsuitable for ANY reason in your home that they come back to us for placement.
