Dame Maggie Smith is such a wonderful mama to her kittens. She is loving and patient and so gorgeous! Maggie is a Lynx Point with medium length fur, the biggest blue eyes you've ever seen, and a sweet, friendly personality. She sleeps with foster mom and makes sure her kittens feel safe and cared for. She's a lovely girl and deserves the best home.

Maggie is about 1 year old, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all medical.

Look who is celebrating her 80th birthday today and she shares the palace with her beloved cats, including Siamese. Happy Birthday Princess Michael of Kent!🎈🎁🎂🎉🐾

The princess has kept many felines over the years, and she made headlines in 2012, when she left the Olympics team dressage to look for her missing Burmese cat named Ruby. It was reported that she knocked on doors throughout Kensington Palace in her search. Ruby was eventually found trapped behind a panel that had been removed during palace renovations.

WHY CATS HAVE VERTICAL PUPILS

The shape of the vertical pupil in your cat’s eyes likely evolved to help her wild ancestors gauge distance to prey before pouncing, improving accuracy and the chance of a meal while hunting. Vertical-slit pupils are most common among nocturnal predators that ambush their prey. New research was published August 7, 2015 in the journal Science Advances.

The research doesn't only demystify the house cat. It also reveals that the bizarre horizontal, rectangular pupils sported by goats and sheep likely help these prey animals scan the horizon for predators — and watch the terrain when sprinting from danger. Moreover, circular pupils tend to be found on tall, active predators that are awake during the day.

Look who’s celebrating a birthday today! Happy 80th Birthday British rock singer-songwriter Rod Stewart! 🎈🎁🎂🎉

Stewart is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide.

Did you know that Stewart's song "Maggie May" was the B-side of the hit record, "Reason to Believe"? A disc jockey played it by mistake. It hit # 1 on music charts, both in US and the UK, so did the album, "Every Picture Tells a Story". "Maggie May" was also named in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll, which is one of three songs by him to appear on that list.

🇺🇸 WHITE HOUSE CAT ~ MISTY MALARKY YING YANG (1977-1981) 🇺🇸

At just nine years old, Amy Carter moved into the White House in 1977, making her one of the youngest children to live there since John F. Kennedy’s children.

The unusually named Siamese cat was a staple at the White House during President Jimmy Carter’s time in office. He spent a lot of time with Amy, living in her bedroom suite, and Misty enjoyed sleeping in the top level of Amy’s doll house. The feline was kept a safe distance from Blueberry, a parakeet belonging to Annette Carter, the wife of Carter’s son Jeff, and J.B., a dog belonging to the Carter’s son, Chip. According to family spokesman Ann Anderson, great efforts were made to keep them apart because “JB and Misty don’t see eye to eye.”

Misty Malarky Ying Yang also made quite the splash during President Carter’s first State Dinner on February 14, 1977. Just a few minutes before President Carter and Mexican President Lopez Portillo were set to descend the Grand Staircase to greet their dinner guests, the curious cat snuck down the stairs.

After getting a good look at the large group of reporters and the photographer's flashing bulbs below, Ying Yang turned around and slunk back up the steps, passing Carter and Lopez as they were coming down. The two men grinned at the cat’s antics.

After his time in the White House, Misty Malarky Ying Yang continued to live with Amy Carter, even accompanying her to college. He was the last cat to live in the White House until President Bill Clinton brought Socks along in 1993.

MISTY is the most beautiful brown tabby from a Siamese litter. She is a Siamese in disguise. Misty may not have the outer appearance of a Siamese like her Siamese siblings, but she still has siamese blood in her and has the loving nature and personality of a Siamese. She is independent, smart and curious. She has a loud, strong purr that starts before she's even petted. She loves her toys and playing. Misty has become a "lap kitty" and a snuggle bunny. Foster mom said she is a great kitty and loves this girl. Her markings are gorgeous, she has leopard spots on her tummy and pretty green-gold eyes. Misty is a very special girl, and will find her way into your heart, if you let her.

Misty is about 8 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and up to date on all medical.
