Today's my 15th birthday!! I was 5-1/2 when rescued by BFP and placed into the arms of the lady. What an amazing life It's been ever since that day!!

The lady started the celebration yesterday by taking me and Little Nellie for a "spa day" (fancy for a bath, nail trim and cleanings) which didn't seem like much of a gift. But then she walked me all around the Petsmart and let me pick out the treats I wanted! Of course the fish skins smelled best to me.

Today it's been cuddles and tummy rubs, a good long walk around the neighborhood, and a Beam chew, my favorite!!

A year ago today we had to say goodbye to Little Brookie the cat. The lady still tells stories about her and all the others who've graced her life. I liked Brookie; for a cat, she was okay in my mind.

I'm getting old! My last senior wellness check revealed that I might be developing kidney issues so the doctor gave me a pill to take every day and the lady's been taking me in regularly to test my p*e. Yesterday Zeke the cat came along for a booster shot, and Little Nellie for the ride. The lady says Little Nellie suffers from a condition called FOMO which makes her incapable of staying home alone.

The good news is my levels have remained stable! Yay! I won't need another p*e test for 6 months and the lady can keep feeding me the nutritious food I love to eat. I don't even mind the pill since she dunks it in peanut butter before giving it to me.

The lady's been home so much lately! She had back surgery so won't be going to work for a while. Me and Little Nellie are getting so much attention and being downright spoiled! Some of the lady's friends have stayed with us and many of them come around to see her and take us for walks. Feral Little Nellie has become much more outgoing, even lets strangers touch her now. But at home she still follows me around and wants to be wherever I am. Good thing I don't mind sharing!

The lady got me up real early this morning and took me out in the car without even giving me breakfast! I hoped we were going on an adventure but instead we went to the vet. They poked and prodded and then sent us home. The lady said it was my annual check up and I passed with ease, which makes her happy. She held me and soothed me the whole time we were there, which makes me happy.

Nothing like a good non-rawhide stick to chew! Little Nellie's always in such a hurry to finish, but I prefer to savor the experience.
