Searching for an additional person for barn help.
I’m looking for someone that knows horses already and has experience cleaning stalls and mainly grooming!
I don’t have time to train a kid (or adult) looking for a short term summer job because they “really like horses” and “want to ride”… which is AWESOME! But this is not that job…
I need someone that is already capable of handling them and
MUST BE ABLE TO…
-Be dependable (be able to drive, have reliable transportation)
-Work weekends and week days… can be a flexible schedule at times
-Handle horses of different breeds, sizes, and ages (everything from a 28 year old mare down to newborn foals)
-This is not a job that you will be riding horses all the time, although there may be opportunities to ride if skill set allows
-knowledge of grooming and basic daily care (fly masks, fly spray, sheets, blankets, etc…)
-feeding and nutrition basics…
-basic first aid and wound treatment if needed
Pay will depend on experience level but we pay better than most horse related jobs do… as long as you can do the job, we will make sure we pay you well for it…
Picture for attention, as we do have a small breeding operation as well as show horses and young stock. Quarter Horses, Paints, Arabians and half Arabians.
