Dear Greyhound Lovers,

To celebrate the life of my greyhound Toby, I wrote a picture book about his difficult time finding a forever home. All proceeds from the online sales of the true story will benefit greyhound charities. This month's beneficiary is Greyt Angels Greyhound Adoption.

Toby was difficult to place in a home due to his separation anxiety. The story of his tumultuous journey from the racetrack to a loving forever home is available in full color as an e-book, and softcover and hardcover editions, and all profits from online sales will go to non-profit organizations that assist former racers find loving homes.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions-

Where can I get one?

Toby Goes Home is available through any book retailer, however, Amazon is the main place to get the e-book ($6) or softcover (($15) edition. The hardcover ($25) is printed through Ingram and should be available through any bookstore, including Amazon. The e-book is free to read for Kindle Unlimited subscribers.

What ages is it for?
I would say it's for all ages. The reading is pretty simple and the humor is perfect for kids (and the children at heart). The story shares an important message of love and loss, and having the faith to take chances.

I don't need another book. How can I help?

Toby Goes Home is an uplifting story and it's filled with great art and a message of love. Your order will help greyhounds, so consider giving one as a gift to a child in your family. Your local library would appreciate the donation, or you could put Toby Goes Home in a nearby Little Free Library. Getting the word out helps your favorite non-profit raise money and spreads knowledge and understanding of this wonderful breed facing an uncertain future.

How can I get an autographed copy?
If you send me a message, you can order directly from me and I'll sign and send it to you. Direct sales help pay for other incidentals involved in the distribution of the book.

Good news! I found a place to print hardcover editions of Toby Goes Home, and they'll be available worldwide. I also dropped the price of the softcover on Amazon and made the ebook free for Kindle Unlimited users so we can get Toby's story out to more people. Also, a trading card/bookmark is in the works, and will be a free promo for conventions and stuff, but you'll be able to get it here.

This is what I hope Heaven is.

These pictures are from a trip to Dog Mountain in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont with Toby in 2017. They have a dog party once a year and everyone is off-leash, a typical no-no for a greyhound in an unfenced area, but the mountain acts as a natural pen, and with the pond and all the other dogs, it was a super chill day.

I started to write a poem about losing a pet and then I found these. It's been over a year since we said goodbye to Toby and we're still not over it. We'll never be over it.

It's a wonderful place, Dog Mountain. They have a gift shop and a chapel where you can write messages to lost pets and there's so much space to walk and run. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it.
