More kittens !!

It’s getting beyond a joke. These were found outside in Bramley. Does anyone recognise them or know who they belong to. As we would like to help to neuter the mummy cat. Have they been dumped ??? ….that’s the only conclusion I can come to as they shouldn’t be outside. Full of fleas and worms. Thankfully I had moved the last three I had into foster so my cat hut was free. Not ideal again, my other kittens in my spare room will be moving on into foster soon so these can then have that room. I’m sick and tired of people not doing the right thing.

Our rescue and many others are on their knees right now but what was I to do they couldn’t stay where they were ? We will flea treat. Worm them and ensure they are looked after. I have just given them a name. Myton for the ginger boy. Eira for the smaller girl and Jayliyah for the other little one. Basic care is flea treating and worming. They can get so poorly if not done.

Welcome to Henry’s little ones a better future awaits you now. 💜💜💜

Good morning.

Another tough night. Two kittens separate litters both in out of hours. So more added onto our bill. You never know what is going to happen. I could cry but instead I’ve been productive this morning and finally sorted the Amazon wish list.

I have been meaning to update the wish list and have finally managed to do this now. We are absolutely desperate for food and litter. Feeding over 150 cats and kittens it’s a struggle so if anyone can order anything from the wish list this would be appreciated. This helps us in the fact we can pay more off the vet bills than spending on food and litter. And right now bills again are high and higher now with the two poorly babies who we hope will be ok. These babies haven’t had the best start to life as one is the little tabby who we posted about he’s not well again 😞

I have put some lower priced items on the list and also added some wire carriers these are vital in transporting as it’s the safest way as they are so secure. We have new fosterers on board so need to ensure they each have one at least. They are expensive but they don’t escape these.

Any help is always appreciated. Rescue is so tough at present and again with the bills spiralling again it’s a constant worry.

Abelina has given birth today to four kittens. She was one who was dumped at a vets with two older kittens who have since been adopted. Sadly she was quite heavily pregnant again.

Welcome to the world babies. No more babies for you after this litter Abelina. You can then go on to a lovely life instead of constantly having kittens. Xx

These are the two babies caught today. Well done to Matt who made contact and managed to catch two. They are very feisty right now. We hope to get the mum and other baby also. There are just so many in this situation sadly.

It’s awful the amount that are born outside usually to feral or abandoned mums. Their start to life isn’t good but coming into rescue changes their future ###x

Names and s*x to be confirmed. Thank you to Pauline who has taken them in for us ###

It’s been a busy day. I set off at half eight this morning to pick up two kittens in Dewsbury who were moving to new foster as they had been hand reared. I called at Birstall to pick Teddy up and the new boy Sid as they were going into foster also. I then headed to Wakefield to drop Teddy off. Then headed to castleford to drop Stew and Dumpling off with Samantha. I called at featherstone to drop some mousse off for the little black kittens and then to Upton to drop Sid off.

Enroute I saw an email come in. Kittens found. I pulled over made contact and left a Fosterer’s number. Two kittens caught. Mum and one kitten to catch still. So many of them out there 😢😢😢

I then went to my other volunteer job with help the aged as I visit every week a gentleman called John who is 100 years old. I spend an hour or so every week with him. He always asks about the cats and kittens. After leaving I went home to pick Vico. Melling and Ivanna up to drop with Kara in foster. Called back at Leanne’s who had made me steak and chips. As I hadn’t eaten. It was yummy. Home then to feed my own cats and foster cats. And my dog.

I’m bloomin shattered now. I give up my time freely but it’s been a long day. I can guarantee I’ll fall asleep well before bedtime. Maybe I can sneak a glass or two of wine in as I’m not at work until Wednesday. I’ll post the two kittens brought in today ###x

Hayden. Female
Haisley. Male
Kristin. Male

This gorgeous trio are 9 weeks old and came into rescue after sadly being orphaned.

They were a little under the weather initially, needing some care at the vets but they soon perked up with some fluids. Hayden had a slight a**l prolapse when she first came in. This has rectified itself and needs no further treatment.

All are friendly, loving and playful.

First vaccinated and microchipped, they are available for adoption from IMMEDIATELY. Adopter must be able to return to VetsforPets, WF17 for second vaccinations.

5 weeks free insurance is also provided by Agria. Currently in foster in WF13.

Neutering will be arranged at our vets in WF17 when old enough.

We kindly ask that you only apply if you are in a position to collect at this time.

You must have passed a homecheck in order to apply for a cat/kitten, we do not consider applications that haven’t. Once you have received email confirmation that you have reserved a cat, the adoption donation is required to be paid within 24 hours.

To express interest, please reply to your homecheck confirmation email from [email protected] or complete a contact form here https://www.henryshaven.com/contact.php

If you would like to arrange a homecheck, please complete an adoption form here https://www.henryshaven.com/adoptionform.php

Guigsey. Male. 12 months old

This gorgeous boy came into rescue after being found living outside when he was an older kitten.

He was a bit unsure of people to start after living outside for a while but he has come on a treat.

He’s a lovely lad who is friendly and full of personality but will need a little time to build trust in new surroundings and people.

He is fine to live with other friendly cats and cat savvy children.

Fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, he is available for adoption from IMMEDIATELY.

Neutering will be carried out at our vets in WF17 when old enough.

5 weeks free insurance is also provided by Agria. Currently in foster in WF9.

Pongo. Male. Approx 4 years old

This gorgeous chunky lad came into rescue as an unclaimed, unneutered stray.

He’d been straying for a while and was a little unsure of people to start but he’s slowly building his confidence and coming along a treat. He enjoys a fussing! He will need some time to get used to new people and surroundings.

Pongo is happy to live with other friendly cats but would not enjoy a home with young children.

He is microchipped and neutered and is available for adoption immediately. 5 weeks free insurance is also provided by Agria.
Currently in foster in WF2.
