Emerald Isle is a small, exclusive stud that has its principles rooted in producing horses of outstanding pedigree and talent. As one of the foundation studs for breeding sport horses in South Africa, it was one of the first to import a stallion from Europe 25 years ago. Sandor competed successfully both in South Africa and Europe and was the winner of many grand prixs, World Cup qualifiers and ev
en a puissance competition clearing a wall in excess of 2 meters high. Sandor became the foundation stallion for our stud and was instrumental in producing some of the finest brood mares in the country. More recently we have embarked on a strategic move to using imported fresh and frozen semen on our special band of mares. With the explosion of phenomenal pedigrees available to us now, we are determined not to limit ourselves to using our own stallions, but rather to give our mares the best possible chance of producing great sport horses. We are doing this by individually profiling our mares and pairing them with stallions best suited to their size, temperament and abilities.

What a special stallion to base our mare-line on. Originally imported as a 2 year old from Germany, Tracy produced him all the way to Grand Prix. He had a super successful career both in South Africa and Europe. He was truly a once in a lifetime stallion who competed at the pinnacle of our sport internationally.

We are looking for a stable manager with farm maintenance experience.
The candidate must have knowledge and a minimum of 7 years experience in managing a stud farm with brood mares and youngsters. We also have competitive horses that need show prep and management.
The ability to manage and work with staff is a requirement.
The position is a non-riding one.
Package includes accommodation for a single person (regret no dogs).
Salary is negotiable.
