UPDATE: Puppies are in foster care with wonderful fosters.

Help us help them!

These beautiful puppies are currently in a cage to keep them safe and next Saturday we’ll be bringing 6 of them, all female, into our care.

For the past seven weeks, these puppies have been with their mommy, a beautiful greyhound. They’ll stay with her for one more week to benefit from her milk, which is essential for their growth and health.

If you can offer a safe foster home or would like to apply to adopt a little girl (bear in my mind that they will be a larger breed), please reach out via WhatsApp (083 741 3175)

Striker has had a tough start. This sweet boy is severely underweight at just 5.5 kilograms. His previous owners cared for him deeply but simply didn’t have the means to provide for him. They made the difficult decision to surrender him to us so he could get the help he needs.

Thankfully, Striker is now safe and sound with his loving kennel mom, Belinda, at The Ark. The vet gave him a thorough check-up, and we’re relieved to share that he’s free of both distemper and parvo. Striker has also received his first vaccinations, and now, with good food and care, he’s on the path to a healthier, happier life.

Caring for Striker comes with costs, and we could really use your support. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help us continue providing for Striker.

Rescued and Ready for a Fresh Start - Soon Up for Adoption!

We just brought these two precious pups - one little boy and one little girl, both around 6 weeks old - out of terrible circumstances. Thanks to our wonderful vet at Fichardpark Animal Clinic, they’ve been given a clean bill of health and received their first vaccinations!

These sweethearts are now safe and sound with their amazing foster mom, Suretha. They’re on the path to a brighter future and will soon be up for adoption!

A Little Help Can Make a Big Difference - Just Ask Meisie!

Five weeks ago, we came across Meisie who was struggling with mange. Her skin was in bad shape, and she was constantly scratching. It was heartbreaking to see her so uncomfortable. We decided to give Simparica a try - just one small pill that costs between R100 and R150 depending on the dog’s size.

The transformation has been incredible. Meisie’s skin is healthier, she’s no longer scratching, and she’s so much happier. It’s amazing how much difference one little pill can make in a dog’s life.

**Urgent Request for Support**

Walkers was contacted to assist a young dog found with a severe leg injury in Freedom Square. Despite being well cared for, the cause of the injury is unclear. The attached photo shows the extent of the dog's wound. We are currently transporting the dog to Dr. Ingrid for immediate medical attention, but we urgently need funds to cover the treatment costs. Please help us provide the necessary care for this innocent pup!

Curious about what Walkers has been up to? In late April, we launched an incredible outreach in Phase 6, distributing kennels and providing much-needed bedding to improve the lives of many dogs (and even some cats!). During our mission, we met Keewee, a brave dog diagnosed with TVT. Since then, we've been transporting her every Saturday for chemotherapy, and thanks to Dr. Ingrid, she's on the road to recovery!

Our dedicated Walkers team is now gearing up for our next big outreach this Saturday. With Bloemfontein's temperatures plummeting, the need to protect and warm these vulnerable animals is more urgent than ever. Join us in making a difference and keeping our furry friends safe this winter! Your support means everything to them.
