We have three very special 1 year birthdays today!

1. Ash - she is our personal little cleaner when it comes to face washing as she will sit for 5 minutes licking you all over until she is happy with your cleanliness😂 she has been with us for 10 months and she is such a sweetheart.

2. Ember - she is our naughty girl who would much rather play on the floor than on the bed where it is safe. She is all the energy all the time. You wouldn’t say that Ash and Ember are biological sisters would you😂

3. Pepper - we unfortunately could not get a picture of this girl for her birthday so my only picture ever of her is from her foster in January this year. This girl was found outside being chased by dogs and had been fiesty from the start. Unfortunately, she has PTSD from being in the wild and she is very scared of humans so we are unable to interact with her much. We are following her pace of interacts and what she is comfortable with and unfortunately she is not ready for the big scary camera yet. Hopefully one day we will be able to get a picture of our girl. Nonetheless, it is her 1st birthday and she also got a piece of the cupcakes🧁

Today is our girl Ivy's first birthday!!!! We tried to make her birthday as special as we could after yesterday but she is not taking the loss well.

My dearest Athena

Since the 27th of July 2022 you were in our care and the 8 months we shared was filled with love and I will be forever grateful for that. You had a love to give that we could never have imagined or asked for. You were one very special girl with all your quirks. We endured a long road of recovery after you came into our care but you perked up really quickly and perfectly fit in with our mischief. I still remember the day I saw the post on FB that your sisters had passed and you were alone, how could I not go fetch you? We knew you were an old girly but we were ready for the journey and the 8 months sure was a journey.

We never expected for us to walk the path we did with your health but we were there every step of the way together with many other people who all wanted the best for you. We were there until I could see last night that your little body was not up for the fight anymore. I stayed awake with you during the night, monitoring you for any seizure activity and unfortunately there was no stopping it. I will forever be thankful for our last night with you. Throughout it all, you were always so happy and wanted to give everyone kisses. You never once stopped bruxing and boggling even when I could see you were experiencing pain and your meds were not working properly anymore.

You gave us everything you had and more. For that I will be forever grateful. You will forever have a special place in mom's heart my angel. Rest easy little girl

We celebrated Pip's birthday today! She turned 1!!! Happy birthday Pip, you are one special little girl. We celebrated with a pupcake from Pupcakes Dog Bakery, she absolutely LOVED it.
