Hi all
Just want to thank each and everyone for the support , messages and phone calls. It’s been a very difficult 2 days and still so unreal.
Tyson would’ve been so grateful if he had known just how many friends he really had. Each and every one of you would’ve gotten
a huge hug ( that boy gave the best hugs ) , the biggest staffie smile and tail wagging from him.

Ty had so much love to give and couldn’t hide it either. His excitement whenever he saw people always overwhelmed him , sometimes to the point that he actually forgot that he was a dog . Where he got all his energy from still amazes me. I could sit for hours and just watch him do his thing. From flattening my pile of fire wood to swimming in his pond chasing after frogs and water snakes and not even mentioning his adventures up Helderberg mountain. You name it , he has done it.
He was quite the entertainer and had me in tears with laughter more than i could handle.

He had the heart of a lion and loved performing, but as soon as he sensed somebody being a bit down , he would ever so gently go and cuddle up with you until he could get his head on your shoulder followed by his paws.
He had the power to turn any bad day into a good one , no matter what.

I was truly the lucky one to have been blessed with having him in my life as he taught me so so much.

I will never be able to forget him , nor replace him as he was truly as special as can be and one of a kind. I honestly couldn’t have been more proud of Ty than what i am.

Again , from the bottom of my heart , THANK YOU for all the best wishes and support. I know for a fact that Ty has a very busy schedule with all his freedom and new friends now , but through all of that he will be sending huge hugs and kisses to all of you.

Been going through some pics and vids of Ty as he grew up and would love to share them with you.

Will be posting them soon

With a broken heart i have to inform you all that Tyson did not make it through the first surgery.

His little body just couldn’t anymore.

I am so so incredibly sorry my Ty💔
I have failed you

You did not deserve this

You have shown so much courage the past 3 days and i know that you gave everything you had left inside you.

Thank you for trying my boy

You’ve made me so so proud

I will love you forever and beyond

Run free my Ty …… run untill your legs can’t carry you anymore
No more fences and limits
Visit your friends for as long as you like
Go and greet everybody , wag your tail and display that gorgeous staffie smile of yours for everybody to see

Thank you my boy
for everything you taught me the past 15 months
Thank you for your unconditional love that you gave me
Thank you for blessing me with your presence , for being by my side and for the love you gave me as well as everybody you had contact with
Thank you for just being you

I don’t have words to explain how much i am going to miss you
how much i’m going tot miss your whisper like barks every time you wanted my attention,
you coming to greet me with your paw every time when i came home,
your cuddles on cold evenings

Take care my Ty , no more eina for you

I will always love you

Received a phone-call about an hour ago from the vet to inform me that they have picked up another injury during pre operation tests they did on Tyson this morning. His other shoulder is also out of it’s socket as i understood and will require additional surgery . Poor Ty.
My heart just broke all over again for him.

Good news is that they have started the first session of surgery about 45 min ago.

Wish i could’ve been there. The staff at VetsCape are amazing and Ty has received more love, support and attention than he can handle.

I get regular updates on his condition and well being. The above pic was sent late last night where he managed to turn on his tummy with his head up.

To say that i am SUPER PROUD of him would be a huge understatement

Thinking of you every second my boy

You just hang in there

Welcome to Tyson : The road to recovery.
The goal is to create awareness for animals , especially dogs, who gets run over by vehicles on a daily basis and being left for dead by drivers who doesn’t care to stop to attend to the animals’ wellbeing , whether it was an accident or not.
What Tyson went through during the early hours of a freezing and rainy morning , broken bones all over his body unable to move and all alone , is a situation no living being should have to endure , ever!

Accidents happen and can’t be prevented 99% of the time. The decisions we make and how we respond to the aftermath is what will show our worth as humans.

That dog , cat or bunny that you have driven over means the world to somebody out there . While you are speeding off , hoping that nobody saw you , a child is crying for her beloved puppy , a husband and wife who might not be able to have kids , but has a dog or two whom they love as deeply as you love your own kids mr driver , are in total panic and worried sick about their one furkid that is missing. A lonely widow who had a dog as her only companion might be sitting in the dark on her bed , unable to go search for him , tears rolling down her face as she fears the worst…… nobody to greet the new day with in the morning.
Whatever breed , size or condition of the animal that is disappearing in your rearview mirror mr driver …….. that animal is/was playing an importent roll as a family member not far from where you are making your escape.
Just stop and think about what you are leaving behind in your rearview mirror mr driver. Empty spaces in a family that can never be filled again , broken hearts that will never heal again , companions , partners that are irreplaceable ………. so much pain , questions , regret , a desperate wish , self blame………..loneliness.
Don’t be the one leaving a dog behind with severe injuries , alone , scared to death , wishing he could “ sit “ , “ bark “ or “ roll over “ just one more time for his human family untill death finally relieve him of his pain and takes him away without a single goodbye from his family that he loved so dearly.

Accidents happen and by stopping to attend to an injured animal after hitting it with a car will earn you nothing but respect and will prove that you do care……….that you are also only human.
Should you encounter any abuse while doing the right thing mr driver , you are the one that can walk away with a clear conscience and loads of respect as you might be the reason a “ family member “ got attended to in time and could return to their loved ones.

Tyson is as brave and tough as they come and still managed to steal everybody’s hearts while laying motionless and in so much pain , he still managed the occasional wagging of his tail underneath the blanket when his name got mentioned.

I can’t even begin to explain just how immensely proud i am of him but at the same time hate myself so much , knowing that i should’ve tried harder and done more to keep him save, to protect him from exactly what has happened now.

Don’t wait till tomorrow before closing that gap in your fence , or fixing the lock on the gate , or getting a new leash as the current one can break at any moment ,or….or…..or

as tomorrow might be just that one day too late.

Love your pets like your own kids

Respect them like you would respect any other family member

Take care of them the way they take care of us

Most important ……… learn from them !!

Please join Tyson on his journey as i am convinced that he will blow everybody’s expectations through the roof , steal hearts by the thousands and be living proof of just how incredibly resilient our animals are.

They deserve to be alive and to be part of life just as much as we do , if not more.

Lastly
Mr driver , my biggest wish is for Tyson to get through this and come back home…….

my second wish is that you could meet him one day , not to apologize to him as you don’t owe him anything , just to say hi.
Maybe we will all learn something from him……..

Maybe he will remind us why no
animal that has been hit by a moving vehicle , no matter who’s fault it was …….. deserves to be left behind

You can do this my boy !!!

I Love you Ty💪🏻
