The money donated will allow us to settle some Vet bills so we can continue to help the sick and injured,help us sterilise females thus preventing further litters being born into poverty and hunger,help de-worm, vaccinate, feed animals and purchase building materials for our Kennel building project to protect them from the heat and cold.

It's kitten season for sure! Rebecca got a call about this tiny ginger kitten picked up In Broadlands, Sandi went to the rescue and now she has triple trouble with 3 gingers.

We would like to once again thank Teva Vet for their help, support, gentleness and friendliness with an injured cat.

The elderly cat had lost her ability to groom herself, and her skin was mistakenly sliced when her pet-sitter tried to remove some of the hard, matted lumps of fur.

There was concern about sedation at her age and her fragile skin, but she pulled through thanks to excellent vet care.
The old lady has had the small wound glued, her matted coat shaved and has scored a tiny tee for warmth.

Older cats often need help with grooming due to decreased flexibility, arthritis, or underlying health issues which can lead to hard matted lumps of fur, poor hygiene, and other discomforts
Mats pull on the skin, causing pain and potential infection.

Old cats may need sedation for the grooming of matted fur.
A vet can determine the best approach, which may involve professional shaving under sedation to ensure the cat's safety and well-being.

The little pitbull puppy stayed at The Barking Ark until it was eating by itself and that huge worm belly had gone, then it was returned to owner,we are grateful they trusted us enough to let us help.
The other pup with the very huge belly was surrendered,no longer wanted!Those eyes 😪
We took pup to Animal Welfare Helderberg but suspect congenital cardiac issues as it's the largest belly we have ever seen.
