Life of a township mom and pups! We came across this mom and pups on an outreach in Atteridgeville recently, the mom was chained up, no water or food and couldn’t get to her pups who where locked in the kennel close by. The pups were living in absolute squalor in the little cement kennel. Unfortunately we were too late for one of the pups but we did manage to uplift 3 sweet little pups and the mom. All are happy at Dogs Trust now and will go on to be rehomed when they are ready.

Soldier!
Picked up by our team from a township in Midrand and taken to our amazing vet Petite Paws. Soldier suddenly stopped walking and his owner called us in a panic for help. We are hoping for a good outcome for sweet boy Soldier but we have no doubt, with the awesome team at Petite Paws looking over him, that he will make a full recovery.
Spartacus was found tied to a pole near Atteridgeville and brought to Dogs Trust for a chance of a new life. After arriving at us, and eating a hearty meal, he slept for a full day. He is now ready to be sterilised and to start the rehabilitation process, and hopefully one step closer to finding his new forever home. ❤️

Max, as he is now known, was rescued from a life of absolute hell…no shade, no food or water and chained to a tree. We were told he is extremely aggressive…wouldn’t you be if this was the only crap life you had ever known? We uplifted Max from his hell on earth and he is now at Dogs Trust, learning to tryst and live again. Once he has been sterilised and introduced to other dogs, he will move into a big run where he will have all the space and love in the world.

Angels Walk Amongst Us!
We were called to hell Banjo, who had been sick for weeks and the owners only called us on Thursday. Banjo hadn’t eaten for 8 days and could barely stand when we arrived. She was in advanced stages of bilary. She was rushed to our vet, treatment started and a blood transfusion arranged. Shandy, a dog from our shelter, stepped up to the plate and gave life saving blood to Banjo. Thai post is to thbak both Dr Anthia from Petite Paws, who always drop everything when we run in with an emergency, we appreciate you and your team more than you will ever know. And our second thank you is to our beautiful Shandy for being the superhero and donating blood. Shandy is at our shelter, she is the most beautiful soul and she is waiting patiently for a home of her very own. ❤️

This litter shepherd girl was found in the township and we managed to get the owner to surrender her as we could see that she was very bloated and not well.
We have named her Kai ❤️
Kai had her stomach drained and is being treated for hyperproteinemia which is caused by extreme malnutrition and an infestation of parasites. Thank you once again to Petite Paws for helping with this sweet girl. 🙏🏻
Once recovered, Kai will be up for adoption! 😁🐶
