Meet Cassidy, our 5 year old girl that's been with us for about 3 years now. Cassidy is the most amazing girl with the biggest heart. Cassidy is fun, social but also a real softy who has had a very hard time at the shelter the last few weeks with all the storms. 😔

Cassidy is in desperate need of a home environment where she'll thrive and bring any family so much love and happiness 🥹 The storms petrify her and being at the shelter is really not helping 😔

All she needs is a chance 🙏

It's been almost 3 weeks and not even one enquiry on Domino 😥 We are shocked!!!

This pup is truly one of a kind ❤️

Domino was found with his 2 brothers hiding for cover under an old abandoned car. We do believe he is a rottie x and definitely more on the larger side 😁 Domino is the sweetest and most soft nature of his 3 brothers. With the right upbringing, there's no doubt this guy will make the most amazing family companion 💕

Domino is around 10 weeks old and is waiting for a miracle 🥹

Now this is a girl you don't want to miss out on! 🥹

Meet the gorgeous Sasha ❤️ Sasha was found as a stray and never claimed. She spent some time at the vet before joining our beautiful shelter where she was assessed, bathed, vaccinated and dewormed. She recently moved into foster care where she has really come out of her shell and flourished 🥰

Sasha has the softest nature with the sweetest soul. She can be a bit shy but she has the biggest heart with all the love to give 🥹 We believe she had puppies then dumped when she was no longer needed. It's clear that Sasha has been a mom and she's just a baby having babies 😥 But now she is sterilized so no more unwanted litters! 😀 Sasha is believed to be around 2 years old and is a bullterrier x pitty. She is fully house trained and is a true socia butterfly. She is currently part of a large pack but would also be ok as an only dog as she's very independent 🐶

She is just PERFECT 🥹❤️

Meet Biscuit, another one of our parvo warriors ❤️ Biscuit has been let down by humans one too many times. Biscuit is a super bubbly, fun pup that would suit an active family 🐶 She is always down for a new adventure and loves playing in the garden with her fellow foster friends 😀

Ga-Rankuwa Days!

On our rounds today in Ga-Rankuwa, we came across this heartbreaking skinny mom and her nine little pups, living in absolute squalor.

Mom is very subdued, we suspect some sort of bilary or something like that, and pups are wormy, mangy and starving.

We managed to convince the young owner to surrender the mom and all her pups and brought them back to Dogs Trust. They all tucked into a good meal and mom settled down on clean blankets to let her babies drink. You could physically see the relief on her little face.

Tomorrow they will all be vet checked and then their new life starts. ❤️

Meet our handsome Kane😎 Kane is a 12 week old pitty pup ready to steal your hearts 💕 This handsome pup has a gorgeous, sweet, soft nature. He is completely different to his siblings and is definitely the calmer of the 3 🥰

Kane has been well exposed to dogs of all age and size as he's currently part of a 20 dog pack. He is also very food driven making training a lot easier 😀 There's no doubt this guy will make the perfect family companion 🥰

The coolest kid on the block! 😁

Meet Karma 🐶 A breathtaking 2 year old girl believed to be frenchie x pittbull. This girl has the most piercing eyes that makes it hard to not fall inlove 🥹 She is the true life of the party at the shelter. She gets on well with all other dogs and her favorite is new visitors 😁 She is an absolute sucker for attention and would do so well in a home environment. Karma is clearly a young mom but we have no idea what happened to her pups 😥 We believe she was possibly dumped after being used for backyard breeding.

All this girl asks for is a chance and she promises to not disappoint 🐶

The most calls we get is for pups in the township with Parvo.

This disease is awful and puppies die the most slow and agonising death. If we can, we give these pups the best shot at survival but sometimes it’s just too late….3 pups picked up this week-end and just too far gone.

All 3 have been sent peacefully to Jesus, rest softly sweet pups…I’m sorry this was your life.

We speak until we are blue in the face but the people of Diepsloot will not believe that Parvo is contagious and the puppies keep coming and they keep dying.

These are the lucky 3, no more suffering. How many are out there that we don’t know about…💔

Our beautiful mama Oreo is a 2 year old lady who needs a home to call her own 😍 She has such a wonderful, sweet, motherly nature. Oreo has a heart of gold and is extremely intelligent. This young lady will make any family very happy. 💞

Oreo is a cattle dog and would do well on a farm or a plot. She's been well exposed to other doggies and will make an amazing best friend 😁

And then there was Hunter ❤️

A gorgeous 10 week old rottie x lab pup waiting for his fairytale ending like his siblings 🥰

Hunter is the true life of the party at our shelter 😁 He makes the most of every second of his life and would suit an active family or a family with kids ❤️

Hunter is going to be large in size fully grown so will also need a lot of space. With the right training and upbringing, this guy will be a lifelong companion 🫶
