We offer arguably the most active and stimulating doggy daycare and boarding in Johannesburg - the greatest home away from home that your canine companion could ask for! Whether your dog is high-energy or a lounge lizard, our tailor-made activities will be welcomed by your pet and you can be assured that your dog is being treated like a member of our family while you are away or busy in your 9-5.

We supply a reliable and safe transport service in specific areas - please have a look at the daycare tab on our website. Our maximum capacity is 40 dogs and 20 cats at any time. We are situated on a 3 hectare subsistence farm in Chartwell North, about 10 minutes north west of Fourways. Many pets and livestock call this haven HOME. We have a resident pack of 17 incredible dogs, cats, horses, cattle, goats, pigs, chickens - you name it! Apart from daycare and boarding, we offer Canine Coach assistance for all behavioural challenges. We have references available - have a look at our reviews on the page, with more available via email if needed. On the side, we regularly foster dogs for our welfare of choice, CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) and FORA (Friends of Rescued Animals). Foster updates can be found on our page. 🥳Today we say farewell to our beloved Benji🐶, who has been with us at Farm Girls for the past 4 wonderful years.

Benji has been such a pleasure to have around, and we’ll always remember him as our Dog of the Year! We’ll miss him dearly, but we wish him and his amazing owners, Brett and Kobus, all the best as they embark on a new adventure abroad✈️.

We wrote this 5 years ago, today.

It is as valid as it was then - perhaps even more so with new daycares opening everywhere, every day.

Choose your service provider carefully based on what your dog needs as a species!

This dude starts every day off squeaky clean as he steps out of the bus - and at the end of the day he steps into the bus squeaky(ish) clean again and goes home to be a city dawg.

But THIS is what he looks like, pretty much all day, in between his bus rides 😂 He makes his own mud and absolutely revels in it.

Young Dexter living his best daycare life! ❤️

All the dogs get a brush and spruce-up before home time. Some need a bit more effort than others lol (no names mentioned 🤫 🤐)

It never looks very exciting to humans - but the boarders sure do love their Christmas Day dinner topping of turkey broth, sweet potato, stock, fresh veg, biltong powder and peanut butter - all blended together and ladled over their dinner ❤️ 🌟
