Just because you’re feral, doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to be loved, healthy, protected – and sometimes, a bit fancy ✨
This Christmas Eve, Mitchell Park Paws volunteers and guests gathered to give our kitties a festive treat: cat-cuterie boards delivered to each of our feeding sites in the Zoo and Park, featuring kitty snacks in all the tastes and textures that outdoor cats seldom get to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who joined us and donated food to keep our kitties fed – and a meowy Christmas to one and all!🎄
Fun, games, and feral feline friend education at the @glenridgepreprimary fair at @manorgardens_primaryschool today with Mitchell Park Zoo! 🏎️ 🚁 🚂 🐍 🍿 🐈
How do kitties change during the chillier months? For one thing, they’re hungrier than ever 😋❄️ These are three things that you might notice cats doing differently during autumn and winter. 🍂
Want to donate food for our Park Kitties? We’ve got a brand new collection point thanks to @pet_professionalskzn 🐠 🦜 When you’re next in the neighbourhood of Glenwood, Bulwer or Umbilo, you can stock up on supplies for your own pets, meet new fishy and feathered friends, and buy a bag of food to fill the hungry tummies of the outdoor cats we care for!
Welcome to the month of love, Mitchell Park Paws style. That’s right – it’s 🐾💕 Febmewary! 💕🐾
There are so many ways to show cats some love, and we want to ask if you’d consider being a kitten’s special sweetheart by fostering her or him? This would mean opening your home to the kitty in the picture or one of her siblings for a few weeks – we can provide the food if you can devote your time, attention and affection to showing a kitty how good the indoor life can be.
Can’t foster right now? There are so many ways to help – please consider making a donation or scroll through our feed to see more of what we need.
