I cannot believe we are already almost 3 months into the new year.
It's been a long time since I have made a postπ and this is a long one. Catching you all up with what's been happening 'behind the scenes'.
I am still here, taking and working on orders π even though I havent been overally active on social media.
I completed my course last year. I don't think I have told anyone or even mentioned what it was called π. I'll do a post about this soon to tell you more!
The passing of my stepdad last year hit me hard, he was my sounding board, costing and pricing person for everything Snuffling Tazz related. It was his birthday last week as well. I am having to slowly figure these things out without him ( thank you Antonette for helping me a time or 2 when I needed guidance).
I started a part time job in January. Thankfully, I mainly work from home but it's been an adjustment for me and the dogs. Atleast Tazz hasn't minded walking at 6am when I am on the early shift. Abby on the other hand doesn't always join as she decides it's too cold for her and would prefer to stay in bed π
.
It's been a long 11 months with Tazz's health and many vet visits ( she is so not a fan of the vet π
). Keeping in mind she will be 14 at the end of this year. She has had elevated Liver enzymes so blood checks every few months, then food issues and her developing gastritis again. The cherry on the cake was she also developed atopic dermatitis after the gastritis in Dec and she had to get the cytopoint injection. The cytopoint injection was not something I agreed to lightly and had a long conversation with our vet before it was given. Thankfully she had no side effects and she had relief from her constantly itching skin.
As of Monday the 26th, we are ECSTATIC to say her liver enzymes are back within normal range, her blood work is great and she still hasn't had a need to scratch. She does however have some pain in her wrists in addition to her other pain issues (which we manage with gabapentin), but will be monitoring the wrist pain and offering additional pain meds. Our vet has suggested the Librella injections but that is a last resort.
That's it from me for now π!!!
