Most dogs and cats are active beings but it is important to note HOW they move, the SPEED at which they move and the FREQUENCY. ๐พ
What is their posture like? Are they using certain parts of their body more than others? Do they use momentum to compensate for weakness?
A healthy companion should have a neutral posture, move with ease at different speeds and engage parts of their body in a balanced way. They lower and raise themselves effortlessly and enjoy the zoomies as much as a long, slower walk. ๐
If the above describes your companion, brilliant, ensure they continue to move this way! Should you notice compensatory patterns, changes in movement or decreased activity itโs time to step in and reverse or at least reduce the rate of compromise.๐ฉบ
