RESCUE - REHABILITATE - REHOME The Animal Welfare Society Helderberg is a registered Non Profit Organisation. There are 28 paid staff members and a small team of volunteers wh

o help with the day to day running of
the kennels. There is also a charity shop located off-site. The kennel hosts a facility for strays and surrenders. The facility
also includes a veterinary division and is situated in Gordon’s Bay. The AWS Helderberg has a mobile clinic which hosts primary care and operates in Macassar, Eerste river, Tarentaal Plaas, Nomzamo and Sir
Lowry’s Pass, plus various locations in between and at reasonable request. A small inspectorate investigates complaints and assists in collecting sick animals for treatment and then returning them home. Sterilization is high on the agenda of the AWS Helderberg. AWS Helderberg is a proud member of the Cape Animal Welfare Forum.

💜 PLEASE HELP HAPPY GIRL 💜
THIS IS A HEARTFELT AND MASSIVE PLEA FOR A GORGEOUS DOG WHO IS JUST NOT FINDING A HOME. WE HAVE ADVERTISED HER A MILLION TIMES OVER WITHOUT A SINGLE BIT OF INTEREST FROM ANYONE. SHE IS A TRUE DELIGHT AND AN EXTRAORDINARY SOUL. PLEASE HELP 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Happy Girl is a gorgeous young girl that has been surrendered to our kennels. She's around 2 years old. She gets on well with other dogs but cats are unknown. She is a playful, fun, friendly and loving girl with a beautiful temperament, the most sparkly eyes and a very pretty smile. She needs a home where she will have some canine or human company during the day and where she will sleep inside the house at night. She needs a loving family that will exercise her every day and make her a special part of the family. Because she has been at our kennels for such a long time, she has been integrated into several different packs and been with many different dogs, and we have never had any problems or issues with her at all! She goes out for regular walks with volunteers to the beach or dog park where she is so well behaved! She will make an awesome family pet and very special companion, and she is completely divine! She has a beautiful heart and stunning personality. She is a very happy girl who is always in a good mood and it's such a pleasure to spend time with this vibrant, sociable, positive and outgoing girl! Chocolate is an absolutely gorgeous young girl that has been surrendered to our kennels. She has a very happy, friendly nature and the most cuddly personality! She is around 6 months old and will be a medium size when fully grown. She gets on very well with other dogs, is very trainable around cats, and loves people of all ages including children. She is very sweet, playful and thoroughly enjoys her toys and treats. She is a fun, friendly and affectionate puppy with a beautiful temperament and a kind heart. She needs lots of attention, some training, a good sized garden and daily exercise. She must go to a home where someone is at home during the day and has the time to care for her and give her lots of guidance! She must be a special part of the family and sleep inside the house at night. She will make an incredibly special companion and beautiful family pet. Astro is a very handsome young boy that has been surrendered to our kennels. He gets on well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them! He is a very friendly, contented and playful dog with a lovely personality and a happy soul! He has a beautiful heart and will fit in extremely well with any family. He is a gem and it's such a pleasure to spend time with him! He has a big love for life and such a positive spark about him! He needs a good sized garden, a warm bed inside the house at night and daily exercise! He will make a very special family pet and awesome companion! Coco is a very beautiful young girl that has been surrendered to our kennels. She gets on very well with other dogs and loves people of all ages! She is awfully sweet natured, very friendly and loves to spend time with us! She is very playful and affectionate, and she adores being cuddled and loved! She is a precious soul who will make a very special companion and family pet! When we enter her camp she always gives us the biggest smile and tail wag! She must sleep inside at night and she will do best in a home where she has canine company during the day. She is a gentle girl with a beautiful soul who loves to be close to her human. 🧡 *Personality & Temperament*

Fox is an incredibly sweet, soft-natured and affectionate dog. She forms strong, loving bonds with her people and constantly seeks their approval and affection. She is gentle and loyal, and thrives in a home where she feels safe, loved, and included.
Fox sleeps inside the home, in the bedroom, on her dog bed alongside the other dogs—this makes her feel secure and connected to her family. Fox came from a past where she was mistreated and given very little attention, so she truly blossoms in an environment where she is valued and included.

Because her previous home encouraged her to chase cats and birds, she has been undergoing consistent decompression and training. She has improved significantly, but she must go to a home with:
✔ Older cats only
✘ No kittens
✘ No birds
She would also do best with people who understand gentle, patient handling and can continue guiding her positively. Fox has been taught not to rush out of gates or the yard, and she listens well when given guidance. She is eager to learn and thrives on routine and reassurance. Fox’s loving, tender nature makes her a truly special companion. She is gentle, loyal, and thrives on human affection. With the right family—one that has patience, love, and preferably other friendly dogs—she will continue to blossom into the incredible dog she already is.

⛄🎁Our Santa Shoebox project is officially underway! We would love to be able to give each and every animal in our kennels a goodie box on Christmas Day! Please remember these are for dogs AND cats! FOUR EASY STEPS: Find an empty shoe box, fill it with treats and goodies, wrap it up in Christmas paper and bring it to our kennels so we can put it under our Christmas tree!!! Label it "dog" or "cat". Please help us to bless our animals and give them something special on Christmas day! THANK YOU VERY MUCH🌲🎅🏻
