The Animal Welfare Society Helderberg is a registered Non Profit Organisation. There are 28 paid staff members and a small team of volunteers who help with the day to day running of
the kennels. There is also a charity shop located off-site. The kennel hosts a facility for strays and surrenders. The facility
also includes a veterinary division and is situated in Gordon’s Bay. The AWS Helderberg ha

s a mobile clinic which hosts primary care and operates in Macassar, Eerste river, Tarentaal Plaas, Nomzamo and Sir
Lowry’s Pass, plus various locations in between and at reasonable request. A small inspectorate investigates complaints and assists in collecting sick animals for treatment and then returning them home. Sterilization is high on the agenda of the AWS Helderberg. AWS Helderberg is a proud member of the Cape Animal Welfare Forum.

Juniper is a very beautiful young girl that was found on the streets and never claimed. She gets on very well with other dogs and loves people of all ages! She is awfully sweet natured, very friendly and loves to spend time with us! She is very playful and affectionate, and she adores being cuddled and loved! She has the prettiest smile and the most soulful eyes! She is a precious soul who will make a very special companion and family pet! When we enter her camp she always gives us the biggest smile and tail wag! She must sleep inside at night and she will do best in a home where she has canine company during the day. She will spend her days warming your heart and putting a smile on your face! The adoption fee of R1350 includes her sterilization, microchip, vaccinations and de-worming. George is a gorgeous 8 month old boy that was rescued from a life on the streets. He is a sociable and beautifully natured dog, who gets on very well with other dogs and loves playing with them. He is a sweet and gentle boy but also a typical puppy. He loves his toys and loves to have fun! He is very trainable around cats - his new owner will need to be committed to some training. He loves to be close to his human and canine companions, and is the best cuddler! He loves his food and treats and is very eager around meal time. We would love him to go to a home where he will have a canine friend to play with! He needs a good size garden, daily exercise, some training and a warm bed inside the house at night! He is incredibly affectionate and will make a beautiful companion and extremely loyal pet! He will always put a smile on your face and warm your heart! Simba is a very handsome male pup that has been surrendered to our kennels. He has a very happy, friendly nature and the most cuddly personality! He is around 6 months old and will be a medium size when fully grown. He gets on very well with other dogs, is very trainable around cats, and loves people of all ages including children. He is very lively, playful and thoroughly enjoys his toys and treats. He is a fun, friendly and affectionate puppy with a beautiful temperament and a kind heart. He needs lots of attention, puppy training, a good sized garden and daily exercise. He must go to a home where someone is at home during the day and has the time to care for him and give him lots of guidance! Goofy is a very handsome young boy that has been surrendered to our kennels. He gets on well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them! He is a very friendly, contented and playful dog with a lovely personality and a happy soul! He has a beautiful heart and will fit in extremely well with any family. He is a gem and it's such a pleasure to spend time with him! He has a big love for life and such a positive spark about him!
