2022 saw Lucie (on the left) being injured and wearing the cone of shame for weeks and Pepita bitten by another dog and in hospital for a week. But alls well that ends well as we spent the last night of 2022 quietly on the couch watching a movie.

I always find walking dogs in Hermanus stressful with so much aggression among dogs. But yesterday I took Coco to Davies Pool to watch the ladies (they call themselves the seals) go for their daily dip. There were many other dogs around off leash. Coco herself is a very chilled non-reactive dog so I wasn’t worried about her being snappy. All the dogs were happily running about and meeting and greeting one another in a friendly way with no incidents!! First time I in a long time I felt relaxed having one of my pet sit dogs around other dogs. These dogs were all well socialised. If only all dog owners could socialise their dogs properly so that they can interact the way this group did yesterday. Really enjoyed seeing dogs mingling happily and having fun - the way it should be. 🐶
