The time has come to pause, sit with myself, and reassess where The Petporium is and where I am at.
With 100% honesty, I am not happy where we're currently at, and I want to have something I am proud of and look forward to working on every day with energy and motivation.
It's been a tough couple of months, and I never got to take the break that I so desperately needed, and I think that it's caught up with me. I'm not sure if I've hit burnout or if I'm close to it, but my body and brain are not working like they should, and I am perpetually tired.
I will be completing all outstanding orders, but I will unfortunately be taking any new orders. I will also be closing the website for sales until further notice.
I'd like to thank you all for your support, love, and business over the last year and a half. I appreciate every single order that has come our way, and it has been an honour making all the special things for your pets.

We are so excited to be able to host the Pupcake & Picnic Festival at the X-Factor Trout Farm which is sure to be a day to remember!
Set in the heart of Edenvale and nestled just behind the Builders Warehouse is a dog and fisherman's paradise - you really wouldn't believe you are still in Joburg!
There are 2 well-kept dams that are stocked and cared for with the most beautiful trout.
The lawns surrounding the dams make for the perfect venue for a picnic or braai with your family under the trees.
There is a little shop onsite that stocks the basics for fishing as well as refreshments and snacks.
Not forgetting the kiddies, there is a jungle gym to keep them busy all day and kids can bring bicycles to ride on the farm. There are clean bathroom facilities and secure parking on site with staff available to assist you.

Today marks 1 year of working on a dream that took 7 years to realise. It's been 365 days of trading, designing, making and creating, and sharing our journey with you.
We have been through many highs and lows this past year as we experienced the triumphs and challenges of running a small business, especially in South Africa.
We have received so much love and support from all our supporters and made some special friendships along the way too. 💚
As we continue on our journey into the next year, we will be making some big changes soon to bring you some new and exciting products.

It's Great to Bee Three! 🥳
To celebrate Graffiti's 3rd Barkday, we decided to celebrate her triumph over her recent bee incident with a bee themed pawty.
We had a few friends and family join us to celebrate the birthday she almost didn't get to see. She knew the day was about her and soaked up every bit of love and attention she got from everyone.

🥳 It's been a busy pawty season for us this last month. 🥳
Super cute little Harli celebrated her 2nd Barkday in style with a custom designed Pawty Kit from us.
Decked out in bandanas in a pastel retro skate print, Harli and her sisters Luna and Pixi had a pawsome little at home pawty. We also made a matching tutu and customized the party decor to match their outfits.
We will be launching new themes for our Pawty Kit boxes soon and we think this one will be a hit! 😉

☘️ We recently set up Pablo's St.Paddys Day theme Pawty, held at the beautiful Casalinga restaurant venue. ☘️
There were lots of friends, lots of cake, treats and most importantly lots of fun, shenanigans and malarkey was had by all! 🥳
We did peanut butter painting and a paw print canvas and had ball pits and water pools to entertain all the doggos.
We also made Pablo's custom collar, leprechaun hat, and his human and his matching T-shirts.

We were recently asked to make two European Bead charms as gifts for two members of our family who had lost their beautiful boy Bruce to cancer. 🐈⬛
They requested that we try match the colour to the iridescent yellow green colour of his eyes.
This was a very special order and close to home as we knew Brucey personally. He was a majestic black Maine Coone with a personality to match.
We know he is dearly missed, but also that he is free from pain now.
