Fallen Angels (NPO number 175 638) was founded in February 2014 by a few devoted people; already active within the animal rescue and rehabilitation circuits. The ‘FALLEN’ in Fallen Angels stands for Forgotten, Abandoned (Abused), Lost, Lonely, Emaciated and Neglected. Any animal that falls under these categories is considered a ‘Fallen Angel’ and thus falls within the area of importance for this o

rganization. The organization focuses on not only the rescuing and fostering of animals, but also using them to help rehabilitate and offer therapy to children. They have created a haven – rehabilitating and fostering animals there. Their funding is entirely donation and sponsorship-based. The organization works within the Western Cape area. They are currently based in Melkbosstrand but extend their help to wherever it may be needed within the surrounding areas. They often work in partnership and collaboration with various other societies and NGO’s also existing in the surrounding areas and the communities to improve the quality of life of their four legged friends. Once the animals are rehabilitated they are put up for adoption at Adoption Days.

Some of our adorable puppies will be at the Adoption Day. Please pop by to spoil these darlings with some cuddles! You never know which one could steal your heart! Please bring a bag of dog food with you to help us feed all our furries. See you all this weekend!😁

💛 Saffron is dreaming of a cozy home this winter… can you help make it come true? 💛

Our sweet senior girl Saffron deserves so much more than a cold, damp shelter this winter. At around 9.5 years old, she really is ready to trade kennel life for a warm bed and a loving hand.

Saffron is a low-energy lady who adores sniffy walks and cuddles. She walks beautifully on a lead, is great with kids and would do well with a calm male dog—or perhaps she'd prefer being your one and only cuddle buddy.

She’s the kind of dog who slips effortlessly into your life and heart. Easy-going, affectionate, and content with the simple joys.

The only thing she asks? A secure garden with high walls—this golden girl has a curious streak when it comes to exploring!
Whether it’s a forever home or a warm foster spot for the winter, Saffron would love to spend her golden years wrapped in comfort and love. 🐾❤️

Winter has hit hard in the Western Cape, and while our dogs and cats have shelter, the truth is: they’re cold, their joints ache, and they’re longing for comfort.

We see it in their eyes every day — their lives could be so much better. And we KNOW you can help make that happen.

UPDATE ON RUPHUS:

Sweet boy Ruphus is still feeling under the weather (no tail wags or happy eyes yet) but he is eating well. Tolerating his drip and all the medicines he is getting. All his wounds appear old and mostly healed - a LOT of bite wounds, and burn wounds.

Definitely used for fighting / bait in fighting rings! Boiling water is sadly thrown on dogs before fights. Its an extremely cruel world out their for these poor power breeds! Abused by man for greed! It really breaks our heart.

Once strong enough Ruphus will need surgery to remove the angry growth on his stomach. It sadly looks cancerous but we cannot confirm until a biopsy is done.

Please continue supporting the road to recovery for this poor sad boy! Lets get him better and find him a foster or forever home no matter how long he has left. Lets try show him that the life of a dog should not be what he has experienced.

🆘 This poor boy was discarded in Blackheath Industrial area yesterday. His soul is absolutely broken at the moment. It looks like he was sadly used in dog fighting and he’s also not feeling very well 💔😢

We’ve rushed him through to our amazing vet, Doc Dani, for urgent tests and treatment but need your help towards his vet bills please as they are rising rapidly. If you can donate, please pay directly into our vet’s account using details listed below. We will post some videos in the comments as well.

Help us to help this gentle boy heal and feel loved and to learn to trust 🙏🐾. He was such a good boy at the vet while he was getting treated.

The organization focuses on the rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming of these animals. They have created a haven – rehabilitating and fostering animals there. Their funding is entirely donation and sponsorship-based. The organization works within the Western Cape area. They are currently based in Melkbosstrand but extend their help to wherever it may be needed within the surrounding areas. They often work in partnership and collaboration with various other societies and NGO’s also existing in the surrounding areas such as: DAISY, Dancers Love Dogs, SA MASS, Tin Can Town, Mitchells Plein Animal Welfare, PETS, LEAPS Animal Protection Services and Pawfriends, just to name a few. Once the animals are rehabilitated they are put up for adoption at Adoption Days and on social media.

They currently rehome approximately 350 rescued animals a year,
