Fallen Angels (NPO number 175 638) was founded in February 2014 by a few devoted people; already active within the animal rescue and rehabilitation circuits. The ‘FALLEN’ in Fallen Angels stands for Forgotten, Abandoned (Abused), Lost, Lonely, Emaciated and Neglected. Any animal that falls under these categories is considered a ‘Fallen Angel’ and thus falls within the area of importance for this o

rganization. The organization focuses on not only the rescuing and fostering of animals, but also using them to help rehabilitate and offer therapy to children. They have created a haven – rehabilitating and fostering animals there. Their funding is entirely donation and sponsorship-based. The organization works within the Western Cape area. They are currently based in Melkbosstrand but extend their help to wherever it may be needed within the surrounding areas. They often work in partnership and collaboration with various other societies and NGO’s also existing in the surrounding areas and the communities to improve the quality of life of their four legged friends. Once the animals are rehabilitated they are put up for adoption at Adoption Days.

🎄🎅 SANTA IS COMING TO MELKBOS! 🎅🎄

Christmas is just around the corner, and our furry friends at the Melkbosstrand Farm are bursting with excitement! On December 24th, we’ll be unwrapping gifts, and they need your help to make this holiday extra special.

Our doggies and kitties have created their very own wishlist, and we’re hoping you’ll pick a gift (or two!) for them. Here’s how you can help:
1️⃣ Choose a furry friend from one of the wishlist cards below. 2️⃣ Let us know which pet you’ve picked so we can tick it off our list. 3️⃣ Deliver or order the gift by December 20th.

PUPDATE ON SADIE 😃

Yesterday Sadie got her eyes fixed so that her eyelashes no longer scratch her eyeballs thanks to Fallen Angels and all the wonderful supporters who contributed to her care.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Fallen Angels and the fabulous people that work there. Special shout out to Shireen, Jacqui and last but not least a huge THANK YOU to Kelly. Your support did not end when I took Sadie home, it continued after that day to ensure a smooth transition. From involving a dog behaviorist to help me get Sadie and Fibi (my 19yr old cat) to accept each other to driving Sadie and I around for a procedure when I hurt my wrist and could not drive, Kelly has been a superstar!
I feel so blessed to have Sadie in my life. Her excitement at walkies time brings joy to me every day. I have smiled and laughed and walked more in the last 3 months than in the last 3 years and feel great.
I pray that this is the last time Sadie has to endure pain and that for many more years to come she and I can share love and joy together. Sadie is a such blessing for which I am very grateful.

A repost for Jai, our 10-year-old boy who's been with us since he was a young puppy! Adopted as a pup and returned a few weeks later, Jai has spent his WHOLE LIFE waiting for a forever home. 🏡

Spending his life waiting, seeing other dogs being chosen but leaving him behind yet again has kept Jai wondering why no one wants to love him. His eyes turning slightly sadder and more hopeless every time we walk past his camp. 💔

Jai is dog frendly (preferring female friends), child friendly and can be cat tested. Jai is playful (slightly ball obsessed), loving and loyal. ✅️

Let's find Jai his forever home and give him the happiness he has been waiting for his whole life. Please give him your share for the day ! 🙏

The organization focuses on the rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming of these animals. They have created a haven – rehabilitating and fostering animals there. Their funding is entirely donation and sponsorship-based. The organization works within the Western Cape area. They are currently based in Melkbosstrand but extend their help to wherever it may be needed within the surrounding areas. They often work in partnership and collaboration with various other societies and NGO’s also existing in the surrounding areas such as: DAISY, Dancers Love Dogs, SA MASS, Tin Can Town, Mitchells Plein Animal Welfare, PETS, LEAPS Animal Protection Services and Pawfriends, just to name a few. Once the animals are rehabilitated they are put up for adoption at Adoption Days and on social media.

They currently rehome approximately 350 rescued animals a year,
