I made my way to Mogogelo to visit Whitey and assess her condition. Initially, I stopped by the state vet to pick up some medication for her. Upon arrival, The vet was preoccupied with other cases and was unable to accompany me to see Whitey. Therefore, they provided me with antibiotics and pain relief medication for her. Should the state veterinarian be available tomorrow, they will visit and examine her.

Remember the fur baby that we rescued on Wednesday (She not a he ,Edited the initial post)
She looked very scared and distressed ,Once she got to the shelter she made friends with Bobby and now they are inseparable,
When I saw her yesterday morning,She was extremely happy and was making these angelic sounds of happiness and joy,
I am really glad to have met her and attended to her case as she is just a bundle of joy
We treated her for ticks and fleas ,She is eating well, doesn't show any signs of sickness,But we are still going to get her vaccinated, dewormed,give her rabies shot,sterilize and microchip her

Urgent help needed,Please
Any snake handler available please help to remove a snake at Odi Correctional service
We got a call yesterday about a snake in one of the facilities offices,We went there bought,snake catcher tongs and protective equipment,We went into the room but couldn't access the snake as the snake might have probably hidden in electrical cables cover ,The snake looks venomous as shown in the video and it is way bigger than we thought as we saw the snake in the picture ,As the snake was hiding yesterday we couldn't find it today early in the morning they've sent us a video and it looks bigger that we thought and We are willing to go in and assist

On Wednesday We went out to search for Meilie,It was a wonderful experience,As we engaged with alot of people went house to house looking for leads and information leading to Meilie's whereabouts,Thank you very much ZAMBI for inviting me to go search for Meilie,I do believe that Meilie will be found,Even though the search started over 8 months ago but ,This is a journey of faith,If we can be able find Meilie after so long even other people that lost their fur babies will have their faith restored and go out to look for their long lost fur babies ,We got stuck in the mud fortunately we managed to get out of the mud all thanks Zambi's 4x4 capabilities and help of local residents were kind enough to help us but we were covered in mud as if we were playing muddy puddle,We met very nice people that welcomed us into their plots and had just 1 uncomfortable encounter but as for the rest of the Mpumalanga residents they were very kind and nice

#AJ aced Basic commands classes#
The children were very excited to learn that you can actually teach any dog commands and positive reinforcement,Our approach is to firstly get the fur baby comfortable and gain their trust then introduce an incentive (Which in this case is a treat) then reward them once they obey,
It takes time to teach dogs as some respond quicker and some do need time,This exercise would afford children to bond even more with their fur buddies and invest in communication,There are lots of activities that we have planned up but it all starts with the basics, AJ was the perfect candidate as he is eager to please and appreciates belly rubs after sessions,
NB this is our first formal session and the first time we taught AJ basic commands but he did very well
Please keep on supporting us and refer more people to our page/cause so that we can grow and be able to afford resources and trained staff members to make everything possible and being the advocate of change in animal welfare and animal welfare education

A perfect way to start the day,I knew our rescue boy(Atticus) is such a fighter and would rise above all obstacles, Seeing him walk without any support is just amazing you rock FORA (Friends of Rescued Animals) the love and respect I have for the organization is so great and Linda Scrace you are absolutely amazing ,thank you for being patient with him and helping him become his best self,Bless you all

##Pitbulls are not the problem.....bad owners are the problem##
Children from our "Walk the dog campaign" Wanted to send out a message as they are not pleased about the possibility of getting their dogs PTS,Children have been coming with their various dog breeds including Pitbulls to our walks,But there was never an instance where a child was bitten by a Pitbull,Why?Because we educate children how to properly treat their pets,Keeping their dogs off chains,Not confined to trees,Not to engage or entice dogs to be aggressive as we have found such behaviors amongst children that owned Pitbulls
Now Pitbulls and children are living in harmony mainly because we educate children not to provoke and tease animals ,To take their dogs for walks so that the dogs will familiarize themselves to children and get used to being around children and other dogs ,That is our way of socializing dogs and it is a formula that works
The government and SPCA'S shouldn't be lazy ,They should support initiatives that condones education where most of the problem lays,Yes there are dogs that shows aggression even after socializing and owners should do the right thing as they are the dogs that poses a threat to the existence of the breed,Human lives comes first,We cannot save all the dogs as others just cannot be rehabilitated .It should be 2 sided not just one sided as if people do not care about safety of children or others do not care about well being of the dogs
