Lussino came home in May, just shy of a year in intensive veterinary care for a wound that struggled to heal. Throughout it all, he never gave up—and neither did we. Since being home, he’s been confined to the medical paddock, enduring weekly bandage changes and daily halter-led walks. It’s been a long, slow road to recovery, but every small step has brought us closer to where we are today. And today, a dream came true. For the first time, we watched him gallop across the big paddock, heading towards his herd. Though he’s not ready to join them just yet, it was his first taste of freedom—the wind in his mane, his spirit lighter than it’s been in months. Seeing him run, even for just a few moments, filled our hearts with hope. It’s a glimpse of the bright future we've been working so hard for 🥹 This journey has tested us all, but moments like these remind us why we keep fighting. There’s still a way to go, but Lussino’s strength and determination continue to inspire us. We are so grateful for every well-wish, every prayer, and every person who has supported us along the way. We can’t wait for the day when he’ll be fully reunited with his herd, running free like he was always meant to ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Trojan's passing 💔 He died peacefully in his sleep last night. While we are deeply saddened that we didn't get to spend more time with him, we are incredibly grateful for the precious moments we did have to get to know and love him. Despite the neglect he endured before coming to us, Trojan remained the sweetest and most gentle soul. His resilience and capacity for love were truly inspiring. We are thankful that we could provide him with the care, attention, and affection he deserved in his final weeks. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who followed Trojan's story and supported his journey of healing. Your love and support meant the world to him and to us. Together, we made his last days filled with warmth and kindness. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to @highveld_horse_care for their incredible work in rescuing Trojan and giving him a second chance. Their dedication and effort in his recovery were instrumental in making his last days filled with love and comfort. Rest in peace, dear Trojan. You will always be remembered and cherished. ❤

Yesterday we celebrated this handsome boy's 17th birthday 🎉 Topaz enjoyed plenty of cuddles and treats on his special day 💓 If you've met Topaz on one of our tours, you know he was rescued from being slaughtered at just 18 months old. We've had the privilege of watching him grow and heal over the last 16 years.
