Meet Dexter! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We want to start by saying a big thank you and well done to his amazing human family! All the time and effort they put into his weight loss journey has truly paid off.

Dexter is a lovely 9-month-old Golden Retriever who came in for a routine sterilisation. When his parents came to pick him up after the surgery, we discussed his weight with them.

At just 9 months old and unsterilised, he was at a dangerous weight that could impact his long-term health and quality of life. Talking to pet owners about their pets' weight can be challenging, as we donโ€™t want to come across as rude or imply that you are a bad owner. Unfortunately, many of our furry friends are overweight today, and we often forget what a healthy dog looks like.

As a veterinary clinic and animal lovers, we believe it is our duty to inform pet owners about this issue and help educate them for the sake of their pets.

A little effort goes a long way!

Dexter lost 4 kg in a month and is now just 1 kg away from reaching his perfect weight. While 4 kg might not seem like much, it makes a significant difference for a dog. Dexter looks like a completely different dog, and even his owner noticed a change in his personality after the weight loss.

While we did not take before pictures, this is how handsome and happy Dexter looks today! ๐Ÿฅฐ

We greatly appreciate those owners who take our advice and turn it into something wonderful!
