October is National Pitbull Awareness month 🐾

▪️Pitbulls have often been blanketed as one breed but there are actually four different breeds. They include the American Bully, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier Bull Terrier, and the American Pit Bull Terrier.
▪️ 40%+ of Animals in Shelters are Bully Breeds
▪️ 86.7% of Pitbull types that enter the shelter system are euthanized
▪️ Pitbull type breeds do not have locked jaw. They actually exert less power than the average of all dogs.
▪️ 86.8% of Pitbull terriers passed the temperament tests. Ranking 4th overall, and higher than breeds like Golden Retrievers, Beagles, Collie and 122 other breeds.
