STABLING AVAILABLE AT AVONDALE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE (PAARL)


Located on the outskirts of Paarl on the beautiful Avondale Wine Farm, our stables are easily accessible from the N1 and 5 minutes away from Pearl Valley and surrounding estates.

Our vision is to create a space where both rider and horse can enjoy their time spent together in a tranquil, safe and happy environment. We place great value on ensuring our riders and horses only get the best care.


We offer the following facilities:

1. 70 x 40m sand jumping and dressage arena
2. 20m Lunge ring
3. Brand new courses or gymnastics up every week
4. Daily arena maintenance
5. Big barn stables with deep shavings
6. Secure alarmed tack-room with safety door
7. Electric fencing around property
8. Trained grooms
9. Wash bay with hot and cold water
10. Large grass paddocks with irrigation, turn out in groups or alone
11. The most beautiful and safe outrides

𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡…

I was never enough… I was too quiet, but not 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, I was too loud, but not 𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.
I was too skinny, but not 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, I was too fat, but not 𝐟𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.

I was told, have opinions but not too many opinions, speak your truth but not all your truth. Be a lady, but have a wild side. Be courageous, but also a damsel in distress.
You have to be beautiful and funny all at the same time, mental health equals mental weakness. Don’t let others see your weaknesses.

Make sure you can cook, clean and sew. Be sure to live for making others happy, have dreams but don’t have too many dreams.

I will love you, but from a distance… 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡. Until I found 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬.

Groom Position Available

Avondale Equestrian Centre is a boutique livery yard just outside Paarl in the Cape Winelands.

We are looking for a full time groom to join our small team. The applicant must have the following:

At least five years experience, fluent in English, extensive experience with show jumping, dressage and showing horses, must be able to do plaiting and show turn out, lunging, tacking up, grooming, bathing, bandaging. Excellent stable care and must be able to notice sick or unwell horses, cleaning of tack.

Sober habits and a passion and love for horses is a must.

We offer accommodation on the farm.
