Believe me, there are many! Since JP can remember he has been fascinated by all types of reptiles and animals. He tells this one story of the day his mom came to fetch him from pre-school. He was round 3-4. She found everyone inside hiding ... and JP outside playing with his new found friend .. a large snake. He wanted all his other friends and teachers to also play with it, but they all went into
hiding .. very quickly. JP comes from a family of snake handlers from Port Elizabeth where he gained a lot of his experience in snake handling. He was also employed with the PE Aquarium's snake section where he ensured all the snakes had great enclosures, handled all types of snakes, crocodiles, iguanas etc. Today, he is 23, and still passionate about scales and snakes. Nature and nature conservation is his passion which he now seeks to develop as a life career. JP is always removing snakes from farms and vineyards in our area, and these are the animals we will share with you. He is a firm believer in letting these animals go in their natural environment. He feels people needs to be educated about reptiles so that they can see that not all of them seek to destroy every human they encounter. In fact, it is the snake that must be afraid of the human, not the other way around. Our plan is to get together a show, where JP can connect with the youth and help them understand these wonderful creatures that he so loves. Still beginning days, but keep and eye on this spot!
