In loving memory of Poppy Poppet 💔🐾

Unfortunately this week is turning into one full of sad news. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Poppy Poppet. Poppy had been an integral part of the AACL family for years and touched the lives of so many. Known for her friendly and loving nature, she was more than just a resident – she was an ambassador for kindness, compassion, and the spirit of AACL 💖

At 13 years old, Poppy had faced several health challenges in recent times, but despite this, she remained a bright soul - always greeting visitors and quickly becoming a favourite among everyone who met her 🌟

Poppy was one of the original residents of the Cat Haven, even moving with AACL from Durban North to Hammarsdale in 2012! Though she never found a forever home, she was surrounded by love from her sponsors, visitors, and the entire AACL community. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave Poppy the time, care, and affection that she deserved.

Poppy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, sweet Poppy. You will be missed more than words can express 🐾🌈
