Sometimes just spending time with your horses is the best thing you can do. Spending undemanding time with your horse will help them see you in a more positive light rather then "ohh no here they come, I need to work now"

These are our two Arabian mares, they are half sisters and have never been backed before we purchased them a year ago at the age of 11 and 13.
We now ride them bitless. Any horse can learn no matter their age🤠

Relaxation is more than just being lazy. It is a mindset, it is a release, it is a reward and sometimes even a thank you.
There is a quote in the horse world saying "no hoof no horse" we feel the same about relaxation. Without it there is no free will, no trust, no relationship.

Gypsy came to us just under 2 months ago only as a halter tamed horse and yesterday I sat on her for the first time.
It is so rewarding to have built a relationship and an understanding with a horse to the point where they trust you and allow you on there back🤠

Just to give you perspective, Elias was sent to us as his last chance or he would have been put down. He has been at four diffirent trainers before coming to us last year Febuary.
Putting a halter on was nearly impossible, he would jump or trample any fence just to get away from humans, he wouldn't eat his feed if you stood within two meters of him, he had no confidence and would start shaking out of fear...
Now Elias will be out grazing in a field and come running up to you when you walk in.
It may feel long for some people, but that feeling of utter trust from a horse that came from where he was is just such a humbling process.
