Say hello to Gucci! This adventurous girl is a bit of a fence jumper and injured herself on one of her escapades. She recently underwent surgery for a central tarsal luxation, which happens when the small bones in a pet’s ankle get dislocated.

Gucci is healing beautifully and will soon be back on her paws! 💪💖 We're glad to see her making such great progress.

Meet Guinness, a sweet pup who arrived at his new owners with coccidia from the shelter. Coccidia is an intestinal parasite that can cause loose stools in puppies. It can be tricky to detect without proper testing, and unfortunately, regular over-the-counter deworming medication won't be effective in treating it.
💡 If your puppy is having loose stools, it's important to bring a stool sample to JME Veterinary Clinic so we can check for intestinal parasites like coccidia and provide the right treatment.

Meet Thor, the three-legged Boxer! 🐾
Thor had been struggling with a very large tumor in his armpit, which made walking on his three legs very difficult. The JME team went above and beyond by offering our mobile service—collecting Thor from his house, performing the surgery, and then dropping him back at home. We're thrilled to see Thor hopping around happily again, thanks to Dr. Jenna's skilled hands! 💪

This week, we're spotlighting Gibs, an adorable French bulldog! Dr Jenna recently performed a narectomy (basically a doggy nose job) on Gibs to widen his nostrils. This procedure helps him breathe more easily and also prevents future breathing problems, which are very common in flat-faced brachycephalic breeds like Frenchies. We're happy to report that Gibs is recovering well and already enjoying his new, more comfortable breathing! 🐶💕

If you have a flat-faced breed and notice they have very narrow nostrils, contact us to find out more information. This procedure is small and can be life-changing for your brachycephalic dog.

🐾 Patient of the Week: Teddy 🐾

This week, we're shining the spotlight on Teddy, an adorable Chow Chow with undescended testicles.

Both his testicles were located in his abdomen. Dr. Jenna skillfully performed surgery to locate and remove Teddy's testicles. It's important to know that undescended testicles can become cancerous as a dog ages. Additionally, dogs with undescended testicles can sometimes still be fertile. Teddy's surgery went well, and he's now on the road to recovery!

We're so proud of our brave patient and the excellent care provided by our team. 💙

🌟 Patient of the Week: Zara 🌟

Meet Zara, a very special girl and this week's Patient of the Week! 🐾💕

Zara is a sweet 6-year-old who recently had a small lump removed from her belly. The surgery was curative, and she won't have any health issues related to the lump moving forward. She’s recovering wonderfully and is now ready to find her forever home. 🏡❤️

JME Veterinary Clinic has been working with Paws R Us rescue to make sure all the shelter dogs get the veterinary care they need. Zara is an energetic but very well-behaved dog, and everyone at JME Vet enjoyed giving her lots of belly rubs while she was with us.

🌟 Patient of the Week: Meet Brandy! 🌟

🐾 Meet Brandy, the adventurous 1.5-year-old Pekingese-Australian Cattle Dog cross who recently visited us at JME Veterinary Clinic. Brandy's mischievous streak got the best of her during a fence-fighting escapade with a neighbor, resulting in a significant injury to her bottom lip. Her lip was torn from her teeth and jaw, but thanks to our talented team, it's on the mend after some careful stitching.

This week, we honor a very special patient, Cooper, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Cooper was more than just a pet; he was a very good boy, a beloved member of his family, a loyal friend, and a source of endless joy and love.

Even during his illness, Cooper's wagging tail and loving heart never wavered, reminding all of us to take a page out of his book: cherish the present, love unconditionally, and find happiness in a warm blanket and a cuddle.

Our hearts go out to Cooper's family, we know his affectionate, sweet nature and nurturing spirit will be sorely missed in the Weir household. In honor of Cooper's favorite thing in the world, let's lace up those walking shoes and take those pooches out for an extra-long stroll today.🐾
