dogtrainingt_t One on one obedience dog training. We specialize in obedience training for dogs of all ages and breeds. I have dogs of my own that I train every day.

We strive to provide you our clients with the training you need to form stronger bonds with your fur-babies! I am Drew Venter, the dog trainer at Tricks&Treats Training (I am a hopeless dog enthusiast). I love everything related to animals, the outdoors, and of course training. I created Tricks&Treats to help people understand their dogs and their behaviors. I have been teaching dog training to clients locally since 2018.

When dogs are overly excited, nervous, or fearful, their decision-making abilities tend to be compromised.
By incorporating waiting into training exercises, we allow dogs to calm down and regain focus before proceeding with the training. It helps them transition from a heightened state of mind to a more attentive and receptive state. This is important because training requires dogs to think and make choices.
By practicing waiting, we give dogs an opportunity to self-regulate their arousal levels and learn patience.
So, by incorporating waiting as part of training, we can help dogs develop self-control, focus, and make better decisions.
