"Life does not require constant happiness. The richness of experience is the soul's true desire." ~ Diego
As soul beings navigating the human experience, we often obstruct our own happiness through endless judgements. We label moments as "good" or "bad," forgetting that these labels are entirely subjective, shaped by our unique perceptions and inner systems.
When we shift our perspective to view life’s events through the lens of the soul—observing with curiosity rather than labelling them as "bad"—we free ourselves from the weight of negative emotions. By embracing neutrality, we reduce emotional baggage that can hinder our capacity for peace and joy. This shift also enhances our ability to grow from the experience, which is ultimately the soul's purpose here.
The more we grow, the less we feel the need to chase an elusive state of constant happiness. We realise that seeking happiness by trying to accumulate "good" experiences to counterbalance the "bad" is a cycle that never truly satisfies.
As Diego so beautifully reminds us, the soul values the richness of experience over the pursuit of constant happiness. By embracing both the highs and lows—the joy and the sorrow—we live more fully and become more present. Instead of endlessly chasing fleeting pleasures, we deepen our capacity for connection, which brings a far greater sense of fulfillment.
Live deeply, embrace all, and find peace in presence.
