What is a slow feeder bowl?

This is a feeding bowl designed with separations and obstructions. By placing the food between these grooves, your dog will learn to scoop out their food at a much slower pace, allowing them more time to enjoy their meal.

Thus, the Slow Feeder Pet Bowl is designed to slow down your pets eating behaviour ultimately improving digestion, prevent bloating and promotes better general gut health. It also prevents choking which results from the absence of chewing their food.

It is also mentally stimulating! By placing their food between the grooves, your dog needs to work out how to remove the pellets/meat from the feeder. Let's talk about growling!

Not all growls are negative. Some growls are play growls, attention seeking growls, pleasure seeking growls or frustration growls. They may all sound a little different and may be unique to the particular dog. This post is not about different types of growls, but about warning or aggressive growls and why they should not be ignored or punished.

WE GOT THEM!!
Yesterday our society received a call about puppies being sold on the side of the road .... With all our Inspectorate tied up with Qurbani, it was left to Field Officer, Melanie Mey to jump into action and get out there asap!!

Melanie was able to persuade the gent to surrender these two remaining female pups AND we have offered to sterilise mommy dog!

Sadly two pups had already been sold for R300!😥 Boksburg SPCA appeal to the public NOT to buy pups on the side of the road as this encourages the roadside puppy trade .... but rather report it your local SPCA.

These two pups, Bailey and Trinity have been vaccinated & dewormed... and are currently in isolation.

It is only with YOUR support that we are able to continue the valuable work in our jurisdiction.
