Hi, I'm Clive and I live in an urban setting in Cape Town, my current flat doesn't have a garden so I am concentrating on container gardening and I'm designing for the poor, so I'm concentrating on keeping costs down.
I have set up a page where instructions can be found to make cheap hydroponic systems, using bokashi as the growing medium and bokashi liquid fertiliser.

I designed a 7 x 2 litre cooldrink bottle system which has 43 plants growing in it for the cost of 36 screws, some wood glue and some 28 staples. (about US$ 3). The wooden pallets can be found for free of they're damaged and the 2 litre bottles are basically litter everywhere. There is still space for about 14 more bottles and 86 more plants ! I'll be adding those soon as the seeds are sprouting along nicely.....

Using 2 litre plastic bottles and a wooden pallet.
Fill the tin up and then add nitrogen in the form of urine, you can skip this step but it will take longer for the fermentation to start, a little pond water also helps..... Seal the tin with a lid, it is important to have a good anaerobic seal.....
http://gentleworld.org/em-bokashi-veganic-probiotics-for-insect-control-healthy-soil/
EM is easiest to describe as a probiotic for your soil. The mixture usually consists of a blend of bacteria and yeast which work in harmony to crowd out bad bacteria and bugs. It’s a compost boost, an insect deterrent and a natural fertilizer all in one.

Espalier (/ɪˈspælɪər/ or /ɪˈspæli.eɪ/) is the horticultural and ancient agricultural practice of controlling woody plant growth for the production of fruit, by pruning and tying branches to a frame. Plants are frequently shaped in formal patterns, flat against a structure such as a wall, fe...

A bacteria-rich liquid fertiliser is a liquid "fertiliser" that provides little nutrients to crops but still manages to improve the quality of the soil due to the beneficial bacteria they contain.

While a pile of leaves left in the corner of the garden will eventually be broken down by fungi to form leafmould a considerable proportion of them will be spread across the garden by the wind. To avoid this situation the leaves have traditionally been contained in a wire netting cage or wooden com....

‘Espalier’ is a French word, but originates from the Italian word "spalliera" meaning "something to rest the shoulder (spalla) against". When 15th Century French fruit farmers were pressed for time and money and wanted to increase their fruit yields, within the confines of their farms and walled...
are humans as well as machines to move water up .....
It's good to compost, but methane is released in all composting outside, this fermenting system of bokashi dissolves the methane back into the medium, and thus does not give off methane, also this can be done indoors for people in flats.... Thus with bokashi we have carbon capture..... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokashi_(horticulture) ..... ..... ..... ..... One can also nitrogen, to activate it by using urine, and this would be vegan..... there are other vegan ones on the market, but why by something when you have the correct bacteria in your own body via urine..... NOTE, The earthworms ARE NOT part of the Bokashi, but they came alive when the soil was amended by bokashi liquid fertiliser.....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokashi_(horticulture)
Bokashi is a process that converts food waste and similar organic matter into a soil amendment which adds nutrients and improves soil texture. It differs from traditional composting methods in several respects. The most important are:
