Last but certainly not least came an update from my favourite ginger family 🧡 Liz and Ty are the very proud and dedicated pawrents of Penny and Enzo - both adopted from us! 😁
They are such happy little ones and scored big time with their family.

Next up, we have Coconut (previously Nyla) who has grown into the most stunning girl! 🥰
She is loved endlessly by her mommy, daddy and human brothers and is certainly living her best life after overcoming the odds! 😍
Another special update from Nova (previously Sushi) who has been in her forever home for a year now!
We honestly weren’t sure what the future held for this girl as she had been seriously hurt by humans and was struggling. But somehow, the most perfect mom named Shona found her.
Nova is the ideal name as this is a complete different cat who has healed and thrived in her second life.
Thank you Shona and family for helping to restore our faith in humanity.
I have some happy updates to share, starting with Scottie, who has found his forever home with a wonderful family. 🥰 Here’s to getting the love you deserve and a bed to share!

Second chance needed 🙏🏼
Darling Scottie is in need of a special second chance after being abandoned.
He is an adult kitty of around 6/7 years old and is INCREDIBLY loving. He is the ideal companion for a family or singleton or retiree - he hasn’t met a person he doesn’t adore. 🥰
He has tested negative for FIV/Felv, is neutered and has received his first set of vaccinations. He has also been dewormed and treated for fleas.
This special boy is used to other animals and while he loves to be outdoors, he really needs a loving human and cozy corner to come home to between adventures.
He is not doing very well in his foster home as mom works long hours in an office. He needs to find his perfect home asap 🩷

Nyla has had a tough start to life having now recovered from limping calici virus, which left her unable to use her back legs for a period of time.
We are pleased that she is zooming around and purring up a storm these days! She will make a fantastic addition to your home.
Nyla would suit a quiet home with someone who is either around for most of the day or has other cats, as she gets lonely easily.
She is not socialised to dogs or children but is extremely loving towards humans and loves other cats.
Her outside time would need to limited due to her pink features being susceptible to sunburn. 🙏🏼

Meet Enzo (ginger boy) and Nyla (flame point female). We saw a post by Take Me Home Kitten Adoptions - Durban about these babies needing a foster and something told us we needed to help. 🙏🏼
These babies were rescued by a very kind lady and her daughter from the chef’s school in morning side.
They were filthy, covered in ticks, have ulcers in their mouths, and Nyla is currently unable to walk. She drags her back legs and needs assistance to use the bathroom. 💔
We are fairly sure they have the limping form of Calici Virus and they have started on antibiotics and Nyla is getting anti inflammatories too. The good news is that she is already stronger and more mobile today!
Should this indeed be Calici, she will be up and about in no time. 🙏🏼 Both kittens are about 6 weeks and tame with beautiful personalities. We think there is a good chance they were dumped when they started to get sick.
We will keep updating on the progress of these sweethearts 🥰

Sadie thinks she could get used to this! 🥰 We love nothing more than pampering the little foster with lots of snuggly blankies and toys. It’s the least we can do after all they’ve been through!
Counting the days until Sadie’s quarantine period is up and she can be upgraded to bed and couch cuddles. 🥰
Meet Sadie ☀️
We have temporarily come out of retirement from fostering due to my brother finding this little one at his work.
She was emaciated, covered in fleas, full of dirt and what looked like traces of glue on the tips of her ears, and desperately sought out help.
How clever of her to find him and cling to him, knowing he would help her. 🙏🏼 How could we not take her in?
She is about 6 weeks old but underweight at 460g and has a mild case of snuffles.
She has received a deflea bath, been dewormed, is on antibiotics for the snuffles and is eating a nutritious diet.
Sadie is one of the most loving kittens we have ever known and is just coming out of her shell more and more by the day.
We can’t wait to share more about her and hope that someone will fall in love with her and want to adopt her. 💕
The Catio AKA the best thing we have ever done for our cats! ☀️Here’s why you can do it too…
More and more I am realizing that free access to the outdoors should not be an option for cats.
Having outdoor cats is the norm in South Africa and we are ever so slowly shifting this mindset towards focusing on a safer environment for our kitties. 🙏🏼
But there are a few factors that could be holding you back from making the change:
1️⃣ Finances. Catios are expensive, there’s no doubt about it. Especially in this economic climate. But it’s also something you can do by yourself on a budget. We built our catio ourselves for a total cost of under R2000. We got materials slowly, month by month and even asked for contributions as birthday presents!
2️⃣ Rental restrictions. Most landlords won’t want a permanent fixture like this built onto their properties. But this doesn’t need to be a permanent fixture at all! Our catio is fully and easily removal. There will be no holes or marks and no sign that it ever existed when we move.
3️⃣ Your cats are already used to being outdoors and may become distressed. Most of our cats were rescued from feral colonies or outdoor environments and were then raised on a beautiful big farm. They have adjusted wonderfully to being indoor cats with a catio. Our tip would be to start implementing a curfew and not allow your cats outdoors after dark and also provide lots of enrichment and activities inside! 😻

This sweet and special lady went to her forever home yesterday. She joined her mom, who’s human was extremely happy to offer her baby’s baby a loving home too.
Maple’s forever name is Gaia and we are so happy for her. She’s come so far and is going to have a beautiful life.

SAD NEWS: Maple’s Adoption has fallen through. She desperately needs to find her forever home 💔
Maple has been in foster care for over 2 months and is now 5 months old. During her time with us, she has transformed from a terrified feral kitten who was convinced humans were out to hurt her, into a vibrant, playful and hopeful teenage kitty with so much life ahead of her. 💕
While still skittish of fast actions and new people, Maple has become the ring leader of play time at our home and loves nothing more than playing with other kitties and even sometimes the gentle doggo! 🥰
This kitty who we couldn’t stroke a month ago now sleeps on the bed and is first in line to climb on my lap in the evenings. 💗
Please open your home and heart to this precious girl who has overcome every curveball thrown her way. Her mom and brother are doing amazingly in their homes and she deserves her forever.

This beautiful girl was rescued from the side of the road as an older unsocialised kitten and is still a little skittish of people as a result. She warms up with time and patience though and just needs a special human willing to give her a chance. She purrs for us and enjoys chin scratches!

Beautiful Maple 🍁
While her mom and brother walked right into the carrier, Maple was not convinced by our rescue efforts and gave us quite the run around! 😂
We had both parked on the side of a busy road at the center of Hillcrest at peak traffic, and were climbing through bushes with looks of desperation.
It must have been quite a sight because several kind people pulled over to ask if we needed help. You can imagine their shock when we said no thanks we were catching cats and knew what we were doing 😂
Maple has always been a firecracker, who actually just wants to loved, and we hope a special someone will appreciate her for who she is and adopt her soon.

We found Puffin, together with his mom and sister, on the side of the road just over a month ago. He was already semi-feral and already older kitten and to make matters worse, he had a rare case of subcutaneous emphysema (meaning the layer between his body and skin was filled with air!)
This poor guy had a very tough start to life and although he has made a full recovery physically, his confidence still needs some work.
Both Puffin and his sister need a special human to give them the chance they deserve at a happy ending. They will need some ongoing work to build trust but we know they can do it!

Sound up for this video! This is what it sounds like when Puffin’s skin moves. This is due to all the air trapped under there. He is still sounding crinkly but appears to be improving. He is otherwise eating well with no other concerning symptoms 🙏🏼 We are so grateful to Dr Naz from Pulse Veterinary Clinic for helping him. Him and sister Maple are nervous of humans and may take a while to warm up. Mommy Meadow is sweet and loving 💕 She must have grown up with humans who have either lost or failed her 💔
Update: adopted Diesel absolutely loves other cats 🥰 He will often be curled up next to Paisley having a nap or being groomed 😂. He seems to love being looked after and really enjoys all the attention 😂 We still haven’t had any interest in this sweet boy. Please consider giving him a home. An unexpected new arrival 🖤 Diesel came to us yesterday after being rescued by Sabeeha while on a trip to Durban. He had been trapped in a car for over 48 hours and wasn’t in a good way, so Sabeeha hustled to trap him, get him seen to by a vet and asked us if we would be able to help place him. We decided to foster the little guy ourselves and soon arrived a tiny 7 week old who has already been through so much. He has snuffles and his eyes were continually filling with goop and crusts and forming a film over the corneas. His little paws were swollen and burnt from the car and his gums were pale - likely from anemia. He was weak and unsteady and so so skinny. 💔 We shudder to think what his fate would have been had Sabeeha not rescued him! A huge thank you to her for getting him all the necessary treatments to regain health and for the providing him with nutritious food for his stay with us. You are a kitty angel. 🙏🏼 This all happened yesterday and we are excited to share an update on Diesel today shortly…

She just taken storm to his new home and he walked straight out the carrier to his new mom and has not tried to hide at all.” Video taken of Storm in his new home. ❤️ Storm’s dog brother is still urgently in need of a home.

It seems like we attract those in need of help! My mom’s neighbor came across this little girl in Shallcross, KZN. She is now safely with my mom but is in a terrible state. She’s bone thin and seems to have issues with her eyes and mouth. 💔 She will be visiting the vet soon and we hope for good news.

Chance is not a happy camper today! Unfortunately with our crazy hours, he’s not getting the time and attention he needs right now. He’s eating plenty so we were able to buy him a big bag of food today. 💗

Hello and welcome to our page! You may have stumbled across us on Instagram, but we’re here because we have big plans for the future. We can’t wait to share this journey with you and to get to know you more!
We’re five South African rescued kitties with two VERY loving moms. Our momager started our Instagram account as a way to document our progress and also to share all of our foster siblings. Our moms have fostered about 70 kittens, including a few of us! She now hopes to share more, connect more, and offer a space for resourceful communal learning.
This is us:
PAISLEY - the original Pea! She was adopted from PMB Kitten Rescue & Fostering as a tiny baby calico. We don’t know much about her background except that she was found having fallen in a pond.
Likes: defending her moms’ laps from her siblings
Dislikes: strangers
PAETYN - the sassy tortie! She was adopted from Kitty Care and is probably the friendliest cat on earth. Paetyn was dumped as a kitten and was then handed over to a wonderful foster mom named Tayla.
Likes: making new friends
Dislikes: trips to the vet
PRESTON - the mommy’s boy! He’s a foster fail through KZN Kittens and has got a very loud voice that he’s not afraid to use. Preston and his siblings were surrendered at about 5 weeks old and were an absolute pleasure to foster.
Likes: performing cat opera from 5am-9am
Dislikes: being told ‘no’
PRINCETON - the clumsy beauty! Mom (Megs) spotted this beauty on Facebook and was desperate to have him! Outkittened kindly allowed our fun mom (Nicole) to foster and tame him, and then we were ultimately able to adopt him too. He comes from a feral colony in Gauteng.
Likes: flirting with his mums
Dislikes: the sun shining in his eyes
PARKER - the sassy, purry floof! Parker was trapped at the Pavilion shopping center by a feral trapper. Mom had always wanted a fluffy calico, so she offered to foster. Although Parker was originally booked for adoption and wasn’t going to be a foster failure; the booking fell through and we took it as a sign!
Likes: human snacks (hmm pizza)
Dislikes: being blown on when she tries to steal human snacks
