Just a heads up line breeding …. You breed to maintain the look and health of your dog . Males must compliment the females and not the other way around . Line breeding is breeding to family other than brother, father mother , sister .
Here’s the catch . If you breeding to a gene pool with a look you don’t like … and you line breed . That look will be maintained in that genetic pool .. you should be able to differentiate faults and know the faults in your dogs before this is done. Dogs with the same faults tend to carry on that same fault .
The dogs should complement each other . Line breeding works well when precaution was taken at each breeding prior . Line breeding can be a mess if the family of dogs been used is poor quality . Most animals by instinct breed with the alpha of the pack . You have taken that away so the quality of your breeding is based on your instincts … make it count and breed up to develop the gene .
