A Love That Lasts Beyond

A pawprint left upon our hearts,
A gentle soul, now far apart.
Through wagging tails and soft, warm fur,
A friendship pure, a bond so sure.

Though gone, their love will always stay,
In quiet thoughts and everyday.
For pets may leave, yet love remains—
A gentle balm for lingering pains.

Forever loved, not truly lost,
They’re in our hearts, no matter the cost.

💉What Vaccinations Does My Pet Need?

💉 Keeping your pet vaccinated is crucial for their health and the health of others! Most pets need core vaccines, such as rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and adenovirus for dogs, and feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia for cats. Your vet will help you understand which vaccines are essential based on your pet’s lifestyle, age, and any local laws.

Puppies are vaccinated at 6, 9 and 12 weeks. Thereafter your dog will need a yearly booster vaccine.

Make sure all vaccinations are up to date before introducing a new pet to the home or if you are planning to travel with your pets.

Part 5: Keep Them Secure – Safety Tips for Fireworks Night

🔒 Secure All Exits
Ensure all doors, windows, and gates are closed and locked. Pets may try to escape if they feel scared, so it’s crucial to keep them safely indoors.

📍 Pet Identification
Make sure your pet’s ID tag and microchip information are up to date. In case they do manage to run off, this will help reunite you faster.

🐕 Stay Nearby
If possible, stay with your pet during the fireworks. Your presence alone can provide a huge sense of security and reassurance.

In search of health

All my life I have yearned to help animals, big and small. Naturally and through divine guidance I ended up as a veterinarian. It has been such a blessing to assist your animals when they fall ill or when they need a little help to stay healthy. In my almost decade long career I have learnt that healing animals are far more complicated than just prescribing pharmaceuticals or cutting out the diseased parts of the body. Health and healing are more complicated and sacred than understood by conventional medicine. It was a horse in the Dubai Equine Hospital that changed my career path completely. This poor animal has been suffering from back pain for almost 2 years and no diagnoses could be reached. He had undergone every imaginable treatment including back injections, physiotherapy, steroid therapy, magnet therapy and many more...with no relief. Luckily their was an Equine Acupuncturist practicing in the hospital at the time. After 3 acupuncture treatment his pain was completely gone. I was astonished. When I asked the veterinarian how he did it he simply replied: “If you understand that everything is energy you can heal anything”.

This moment started my study in complementary medicine. Being a analytical and open minded skeptic, I ventured into scientific research on the events witnessed. I am now a certified acupuncturist and it is my passion to teach other veterinarians this art in healing. This page will aim to help the pet parent understand the wonderful therapies that are available for your four legged family members. I am a fierce advocate for the integration of these so called “alternative medicine” into conventional medicine not as an alternative but as functional medicine with the ultimate aim in creating personalized treatment plan that suites the animal and owner best.

“If you look closely enough, you will always find hope in your pets eyes”. I hope that through sharing my experiences and knowledge with you, that you can again find the hope in your beloved animals’ eyes.
