I have been meaning to do a post like this for a while! As a one woman business operator/owner I often get snide remarks about the cost of my products! Many people don't see the "hidden" costs of owning a small business like Archie's! For example- I don't have the assistance of machinery - every single Treat is handcut by myself so it's very labour intensive! I also only use top quality ingredients - for example Woolies chicken for my Gummy Paws! Do you have any idea how expensive Gelatine is? Not to mention the cost of electricity to bake my goods and the cost of Fuel to do FREE deliveries!!🚙 Every time I buy pumpkin, bananas, eggs or Canola oil it has gone up in price!🙈 This past month the cost of eggs alone has almost crippled my little business!🥚😳 I only use top quality Peanut Butter that doesn't contain any salt and sugar - therefore costs more than your average Peanut Butter! My packaging has almost doubled in price the past 4 years! 😟 In spite of this, I have only had 2 price increases in over 4 years as I am aware that I sell a top quality product which most would deem a "luxury"! I love what I do and will continue to pour all my energy and enthusiasm into baking for my discerning clients that cannot speak for themselves but show their love of my products by devouring my Treats and begging for more!!!🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩🐾🐾🐾🐾
