Today I am so thankful to all of you. Thank you for your shares and support and donations. I know im being so repetitive but like i dont think yall know how much it means. We've truly been blessed to be able to help all the animals we've helped. Thank you all for your ripples! Thank you for the love that has manifested on each of these animals ' second chanc at life. I am in awe at what we've managed to do.

🆘🆘🆘 Petrol Funds needed 🆘🆘🆘

We need to collect 4 dogs in Reddersburg tomorrow please help with a Petrol donation. 2 small breed mixes and 2 Alsations. We dont have anywhere to go with them but collect them I will. Their owner passed away and the remaining owner is in a wheelchair and left the doggos behind. I dont know the whole story, I dont have the details to make a case of abandonment but I need to fetch these dogs. As always i will post updates once the rescue mission is completed. Please help with a Petrol donation 🙏🐾

From the bottom of my heart i would like to thank Styling Paws for the absolute amazing work done with Cody & Lika. Im not gonna lie, I was very nervous. These dogs mean the absolute world to me and I thought I was going to have to micro manage them while Sanet is busy so that the doggos dont become too overwhelmed or want to bite etc. I was fully prepared to come home with a pair or very scruffy looking dogs 🤣I have been putting a lot of practice into desensitizing sessions so that they are more comfortable with the things that come with grooming and Vet visits. Cody has been groomed before (before he was surrendered) however when he came into my care I could tell his consent was never asked, his boundaries were never listened to and he wasn't actually comfortable with grooming. Yesterday he ACED the session. A year of hard work and lots of treats and praise. Im so proud and so grateful to Styling Paws' Sanet Human!

Lika has never been to for a grooming session. She was bathed when we first Rescued her but she has experienced so much trauma in her life that she was absolutely terrified. I vowed to never put her in that position or a similar position ever again. I have been working very hard to help Lika with desensitization. She needs a lot of work still but she's come SO Far. Lika received an ACP before the groom. She allowed Sanet to hold her, to wash her to brush her and even trim nails. We first sat with Lika and talked and cuddled. She was very nervous, Lika is also a screamer 🤣 she can be very dramatic, which is understandable but she did amazingly during the session and guess what, her ears were perked almost the whole time.

These dogs weren't nervous, or scared or bleeding or shaking or panting like crazy . I am amazed and so grateful to Sanet & Styling Paws . She was patient, she took her time waiting for the dogs to get comfortable. She communicated with them, she listened to them. She was gentle and understanding. She showed them she's not a threat, even with all her scissors and clippers and brushes and hoses, the dogs didn't once think those things would be used to harm them. Im so grateful for their groom and the methods that were used that Im actually in tears. Sanet was so gentle.

She listened to what Cody and Lika were saying to her. She was aware of their state of mind the whole entire session. Sanet started around 8 and finished around 11. I was allowed to be part of the session as well though I didn't stay throughout, I gave her her space to work.

If you have nervous or fearful doggos, doggos who aren't used to grooming or doggos who dont like grooming contact Sanet from Styling Paws . She has years of experience and really her work is amazing - the way she handles the dogs and the results after the groom.

Look at how pretty Cody & Lika are! And they SMELL AMAZING! Most importantly to me - They were calm and not traumatised! Ag thank you thank you Sanet!

This is Cody ; Coddles, Nanna Patat, My Nnunn, Patata, Goofy Goober

Cody is a +-5 year old mixed breed male who was surrendered in March 2022. .
He has a high prey drive and doesn't get along with cats. Unfortunately Cody is easily triggered by men and would rather want a home with ONLY females and teenagers + (NO small children) or male dogs.
He is an excellent best friend, protective and such a compassionate emotional support dog. Cody is so in-tuned with people's emotions and always eager to please. He is confident and such a -happy -go-lucky dog. He listens extremely well- this statement doesn't do him justice at all-you'll have to meet him in person. He knows a variety of cues and tricks ; overall he's well balanced and responds when someone is communicating with him. Cody is very aware.

There's actually have so much to say about Coddles and there arent enough ways, words and space to describe him to you. I believe the perfect home will come and they will put in time and effort to understand what he's saying when he's trying to communicate and they will love him wholly and completely for who he is -because is he truly is amazing. I speak this over his life.

Cody needs stimulation and he would love a female friend. He has helped so many dogs in foster care build confidence and trust. He is loyal and loving and is a great big brother.

Lika is great with other doggos , needs patience with younger children, has been introduced to cats and we are working on her cat socialization but at this stage she is still too reactive and would pose a threat so NO homes with cats. She knows how to follow cues and her recall is amazing. She walks well on a lead, has good gate impulse control and she loves car rides. Overall Lika would be a great companion. She's attentive, eager, sensitive and has a very soft personality. She's very silly and so loving. Her name may not be changed.
Lika developed some separation anxiety when we first rescued her, which has been managed and things are going so well but she can become destructive when highly stressed.

The appropriate candidate for Lika must have knowledge of animal behavior and must be an active family as Lika is a high energy doggo and needs physical and mental stimulation.

Tonight I am tired. I am extremely agitated. I am angry. I am HEARTBROKEN. I feel completely alone.

I dont know how to help these animals anymore. I have tried everything in my capacity and I am running out of ideas. No donations, no homes, no fosters And my phone doesn't stop ringing. Everyone wants help. No one is willing to offer help. I am one person.

People apply to adopt but HAVEN'T even asked their body corporates or landlords for permission. Applicants dont want to comply with the home check & adoption procedures- the animals must be free. One Applicant even TOLD his kid to PUT HER FACE NEXT TO A STRANGE DOG to see if the dog will kiss her -. The man told me if the dog licks you - he accepts you. OMW WHAT?!?!?! I declined them. Someone staying in ORANJESIG wanted to foster a cat. I tried to explain that unfortunately DUE TO THE LOCATION & AREA we will unfortunately have to decline - not because of the person's individual character but because the AREA is dangerous - they told me they hope i dont get fosters for yhe animals im trying to help. Well NOW it is declined because of your character. One candidate applied to adopt a puppy- i approved the home but declined the application for said puppy because unfortunately he wouldn't have been able to provide this pup with what she needed, I told him an older dog would fit on better and we were chatting about fostering with the option to adopt- he then came back to me saying that their car was giving issues and they can't afford to foster. I then asked him how he would have been able to afford the Puppy - he then told me they have an emergency credit card that they would have used. Okay? Something is fishy. Declined. Sometimes things work out the way they should. I hutter to think what would have happened had i approved the home. I dont trust you and you're obviously not being honest. Another very nice family came to meet Lika from out of town- i never heard from them again. So many people message me and as soon as I mention there are cobtracts and docs to be filled out and signed - oh sorry i dont have a printer, or car or phone to fill out the form.

These are not FREE TO GOOD HOME PETS! These are LIVING BEINGS who deserve MORE.

I AM NOT NO KILL. I AM PRO LIFE. THAT MEANS THAT I VALUE AND FIGHT FOR THE QUALITY OF LIFE AN ANIMAL WILL HAVE. Im sorry but a roof over their heads and food to eat IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Why must we settle for a home like this? No enrichment, no communication or understanding, no effort, no exposure.and when the dog starts digging or barking or becomes destructive its always the dogs fault - never the owner. "But i feed them and gave them a roof over their heads why are they acting this way" BECAUSE THEY ARE LACKING KAREN AND ITS 💯 YOUR FAULT.

THESE ARE LIVES THAT I AM WORKING WITH- POURING EVERY OUNCE OF MY BEING INTO, ALL MY FINANCES, ALL MY LOVE, ALL MY TIME, ALL MY RESOURCES. I live for theae animals and if there is no trust between me and the candidate - the application will be DECLINED! Rehoming animals 💯 has to do with trust. If you are not reliable, responsible, commited and in a financially stable position to commit to another being FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, we dont want you. Why should these beings we are helping receive anything less than the best? Why must we settle for a home where the Rescuer will be responsible for caring for the animal AND NOT THE OWNER? No we want to place these animals in homes that are ABLE to care for a being. Yes, life happens and things sometimes are out of our hands- i understand that and yhe golden rule is that the animal be returned to me if owners are in a predicament BUT we also want people to MAKE AN EFFORT! YOU are the owner- you decided to commit to this being so make a plan the way you would for your kids, or your families or your loves ones or even yourself - PEOPLE ARE TOO QUICK TO GIVE UP once there is any sign of an inconvenience. I feel animals deserve more than someone who is going to give them back at the first sign of an inconvenience.

Imagine our parents giving up on as as easily as pet owners give up on their pets.

I didn't come from great circumstances. I know what it feels like to ve unwanted and tossed out HOME AFTER HOME AFTER HOME. I WILL NOT LET THESE ANIMALS SUFFER THE SAME WAY. IF YOU ARE NOT 1000% committed then DONT GET A PET!

TONIGHT I AM THROWING MY HANDS UP. ek weet nie meer hoe om al hierdie diere te help nie en die mense verstaan glad nie waaroor dit gaan nie.

Ek het ook ongelukkig nie ure en ure en ure om vir mense te verduidelik hoe om n verantwoordelikhede eienaar te wees nie. Instead of letting your dog have batches and batches of puppies and complaining about it- STERILIZE HER? LIKE WHY MUST I EXPLAIN THIS? IF YOU CANT AFFORD TO STERILIZE HER YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PETS!

IF YOUR DOG IS A RESOURCE GUARDER AND IS PART OF A MULTI DOG HOUSHOLD- WHY ARE YOU LEAVING FOOD OUT UNSUPERVISED?

YOU ARE FEEDING YOUR DOG BOBTAIL AND COMPLAINNG THAT VET VISITS ARE BECOMING EXPENSIVE BECAUSE THE DOG KEEPS VOMITING AND GETTING DIARRHEA - FEED YOUR PRT BETTER QUALITY FOOD. I MEAN IF YOU ONLY LIVED ON BREAD AND PAP- HOW HEALTHY WOULD YOUR BODY BE? NO MAN. WHY MUST EVERYONE BE SPOON-FED??

DO THE RESEARCH - PUT IN THE TIME. I AM ONE PERSON. I CANNOT DO YOUR THINKING FOR YOU.
