THAT'S THE WAY IT USED TO BE!!!

This is an original photo of Calumet Farm horses being unloaded from railroad cars as they arrive at Santa Anita for the 1949 Winter Racing Season.

Citation is the horse on the right.

Thirty horses were in the shipment.

In addition to Citation, there was:

Ponder: the 1949 Kentucky Derby winner;

Bewitch: the 1947 Champion Two Year Old Filly and the 1949 Champion Handicap Mare and the only horse to defeat Citation as a two year old;

Wistful: the 1949 Co-Champion Three Year Old Filly;

Two Lea: the 1949 Co-Champion Three Year Old Filly and the 1950 Champion Handicap Mare who was the dam of Tim Tam, the 1958 Kentucky Derby winner and through her son On-and-On factors in the dam line of the great sire Alydar.

: In 1893, newspaper illustrator Homer Davenport attended the Chicago World’s Fair. After seeing the magnificent Arabian horses exhibited there, he was mesmerized. They were unlike anything he had ever seen in his life. He became determined to travel to the desert - to the very ends of the earth - to find and to acquire authentic desert-bred Arabian horses for himself.
In the years that followed, Homer Davenport studied everything he could lay his hands on about Arabian horses. He bought and imported the stallion *NEJDRAN from England and eventually acquired some of the horses exhibited at the World Fair.
In 1906, Davenport received permission to import horses from Turkey and set out on an excursion to find and purchase the horses of his dreams. Davenport was able to purchase and import 17 stallions and 10 mares. This importation was of major importance to the Arabian horse breed in America as many consider it the unofficial beginning of the Davenport Arabian breeding program, which became world famous and which still influences our Arabian horses of today. Pictured here are the stallion *Haleb, and the famous war mare *Wadduda.

I'M BUSY WRITING A DOCUMENTARY ON THE CHRONOLOGICAL HISTORY OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN SADDLEBRED.

Since it is not merely a historical account of the facts, but a combination of history, narrative and anecdotal, memoirs and memories, developing into mini biographies, I have to restrict it to only the most influential personalities, studs, sires and broodmares, which contributed to the present day SOUTH AFRICAN SADDLEBRED.

This is a very time consuming effort, not so much the writing, but mostly the obtaining of information. I attempt to write it in a way that is pleasant and interesting to read, instead of mere historical facts. I hope to complete it by the end of the year, depending upon the co-operation I receive from contributors of information.

I intend giving regular updates.

MORE ON THE NEBULISER TREATMENT OF DR. BARTLETT.

He also points out that an inhaler doesn't reach the point of the problem as well as a Nebuliser does. Oral, intravenous or intramuscular administration tends to turn down the immune system every time you do it. He also points out that a vaccine won't work, because this is a fast mutating virus, and a vaccine which might work today, will most probably be ineffective a week from now. In Iceland they have already identified 243 mutations of this virus.

He also points out that in all the countries which have followed China's system of controlling the virus, such as masks, social distancing etc., it has failed - France, Italy, Spain etc. In the countries which have been using his method - Singapore, Japan, Iceland, Taiwan - they have recorded minimum deaths.

With reference to the previous post, I have found out that Pulmicort Respose is available in Pharmacies in South Africa. It is Cortisone for healing of the bronchi. There is also a cheaper product, Budoneb, available. It is advised to use Duolin with it, to open the lungs.

Dr. Bartlett emphasizes the importance of immediate treatment. Don't postpone it at all. Quick response is crucial.

I wish to emphasize that I have no medical knowledge, and I'm merely giving information which I have seen on the relevant video.

With reference to the previous post on COVID 19, I just want to make it easier for the few who will be interested, by clearly giving the correct names of the treatment. Sometimes one isn't sure if you heard correctly, so I googled a bit.

Here is the information I came up with.

He recommends a Nebuliser in which he uses an inhaled Steroid (not injected or orally taken). The American Brand Names are
US Brand Name
Pulmicort Flexhaler
Pulmicort Respules
Pulmicort Turbuhaler

These are respiratory/inflammatory medicines. Dr. Richard Bartlett claims that he has had a hundred percent success rate since he started using it in March. It is absolutely safe on any person, irrespective of age or health condition. It is also readily available in large quantities, and extremely cheap. Big Pharma isn't going to make money out of it, and nobody is.

Anyone is free to investigate it or reject it. I was impressed, and just want to share it with everyone, in the hope that it will help some people. I repeat that I don't have any medical knowledge, and am only doing this to share what has been shared with me.

IF THIS IS TRUE, IT IS PROBABLY THE BEST NEWS SINCE WE HEARD ABOUT COVID19.

I'll appreciate it if somebody will investigate if it is real or fake. There is so much (evil) fake news on the social media, that no one knows what to believe, and what not to.

THE ONLY MICHIGAN HORSE TO SHOW AGAINST WING COMMANDER

CH Moontide sired by Moonbeam. This horse was owned and loved by The Buth Family of Greenvale Farm. Moontide was shown in the 5 Gaited division. To my knowledge is he is the only Michigan Saddlebred to show against the Great CH Wing Commander at the Chicago International Horse Show. ( Pic is from a painting of CH Moontide)

𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 (1) and 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮 (2) go out to do battle in their match race at Turffontein on October 13, 1956, over 1165m.

The race was decided by a head with Riza claiming victory over his long time opponent. Both were born in 1951.

Between them they won 50 races in 219 starts (Riza 30 in 141 and Nagaina Hall 20 in 78).

Riza raced to his twelfth year winning his last race at age 11 while Nagaina Hall raced to age nine winning his last race at age 7.
