This poor rural doggies owner asked for our help...He struggled to poo he said...We went to fetch him and kept him with us for one night gave him deworming and waited to see what the owner mean about struggling to poo.. ( video is in the comments)... The Drs decided to do a castration because he has an enlarged prostate and they believe that might also be the reason why he struggles to poo.. Unfortunately we couldn't send him for xrays yet because of a lack in funding, but he is staying with us for a few days so we can monitor his progress.. We whant to thank Dr Tebogo and Dr Emmanuel for helping us with this boy... we are so grateful for your help.

Yesterday we had to say good bye to sweet little Tiger... We got a call that Tiger was sick so Nicolas rushed to her as she is his beloved pet...But the prognosis was bad, the time he got her to the vet it was just to late...She passed in his arms while he was talking to her..
We will miss you sweetheart, you were the reason me and Nicolas met 5 years ago and up till today I believe God had a reason for that.. Run free in heaven till we all meet again..

I am a Bethal location doggie who's owner whanted to surrender me because I am always pregnant... Thank goodness Nicolas came and told him I can be sterilized and will never be preggies again.. So he was happy to rather keep me, because he can only care for 1 dog.. So long story short I was sterilized yesterday by Project Uthando .. Nicolas collected me and I was taken to Ermelo state vets where Dr Themba sterilized me.. It was a long far trip with a toll gate.. .. please support Project Uthando as they travel far to help us the doggies who have it a bit hard in life..

We are getting sterilized tomorrow...This was our 3rd attempt to catch the brown dog.. she had 9 pups last year of wich only 3 survived...She was just having 9 pups every 6 months ... Look in the comments what she did to our cage.... To replace that is gonna cost us a fortune... If any one is willing to donate towards a cage or have a cage to donate to us... Please we need big cages for the rural dogs and now we have one less...

These 2 girlies having a sleep over...They are getting spayed tomorrow... The other 2 girls getting collected tomorrow morning... 4 Girls getting sterried tomorrow and 2 doggies need to see the vet for health issues..

The sad we have to deal with.. We took little Mollie back today.. These are her children.. The life she had.. She was given away to the farm worker.. He doesn't look after her.. His dad give them food, he tried to look after them. When Nicolas couldnt find the dog who was book for his castration ( sometimes the owners agree and then the day they need to get collected they hide them) (Frustrating situation) he drove and asked owners if they want their doggies to be sterried.. This Makhulu saw a gap to help Molly.. His son is very mad at him. Now it will take a while to educate his son about in breeding and why these dogs need to be sterilized.... I still to this day cant understand how people can give a little Pekingese doggies to people who live in shacks and cant care for them.. She was full off ticks and her hair was a mess.. We tried our best to cut it without hurting her.. Abuse start with you who dont sterilize your dog and think you give it away to a good home..

Rural doggies always feel and look a bit weak after sterries.. Thats why we keep them sometimes a few days until they are stronger.. We dont just sterilize we also make sure that they go home dewormed, tick free and well fed.. We would appreciate any small donations towards food and deworming ..

We are rural doggies and we are getting sterried tomorrow. But first of all we needed to get treated for ticks. Some of us end up in peoples hands because irresponsible pet owners give us away to people who can only feed us pap. They can't afford getting us sterilized, vaccinated and treated for ticks and fleas.. Its tough for us being born and we dont live qualiry lives.. But its not our fault. Our wish is that less of us get born. Please humans have your pets sterilized and don't just dish us out to people who you think will care for us.
We beg that if you follow Project Uthando you will help them help us.. We need funds for sterries and also funding for treatment for ticks and fleas.. Please take a moment and think of us...

Rus sag liewe Khuluma....When not even me and Nicolas have words left...We treated Khuluma for TVT not even 3 months ago she healed so nicely.. Samuel is one of the only greyhound owners that had her sterilized and not used her for hunting.. She just helped to fetch the cattle.. She was a funny and happy greyhound...But yesterday we got this heartbreaking phone call...Miesies Khuluma is gebyt kom kyk asb of sy gaan lewe..
I struggled to get someone to go with me.. At the end I managed to get Nicolas and Ben .. When we got there no sign of Khuluma.. Samuel say she was here still alive.. The tsotsies took her hunting and when she came back one of their dogs attacked her.. When he told them Miesies is comming to look at Khuluma they all walked away... and when our team got there Khuluma was missing.. The one tsotsi said she dies and he put her in a bag.. But no one can show us where the bag or the body is.. The other tsotsies ran into the bush..
We searched and couldn't find anything.. For now we had to leave it .. as we cant get any info out of any one.. Sameul said he will phone when he find anything out.. For now I am just out of words and out of plans to deal with all this evil.. and worried out of my mind about Khuluma.. Sameul said he saw her still alive but badly injured and the one tsotsi we could find said she was dead.. I can just hope Khuluma is now resting in Gods hands because I don't know where to go to from now..... You where a sweet girl Khuluma and we will all miss you... till we meet again in heaven ..

We found this dog on a chain..
There are lots of dogs in the rural areas on chains... We cleaned it and gave ointment.. Will check on it again early in the week when we can take him to the vet. This location where this dog is is very rural so we will only be able to get to a vet early next week... always one of our biggest problems location, distance vets willing to help..
Please if you feel the pain of this doggie.. any donations of old collars will give us hope to make their life better...

In this rainy weather Nicolas still managed to get 5 rural dogs sterilized for Project Uthando .
You still walk the xtra mile to make sure less pups gets born and less dogs suffer.. Without your hard work Project Uthando will just not exist ... Thanx Nicolas thanx to our state vets who are always willing to help us...Team work is dream work 💜
