Ariella and Zoë are in urgent need of a new home as their human Mum sadly passed away and their family had to downsize to a small apartment which doesn't allow pets.
It is the previous family's heartfelt wish that a kind soul will give their beautiful dogs a loving home.
Zoë (right) is a 4 year old Staffi mix rescued at 8 weeks old by a construction worker who heard a sad whelping and yelping noise and followed her voice.
This lead him to 2 men sitting around a fire, having put barbed wire around her neck and tied her to a pole, preparing to eat her.
Zoë's rescuer reached into his pocket, gave them R200 and told them he was taking the dog, which he did, but was unable to keep her as he had 6 dogs already.
A family was found for her and Zoë became sister and companion to Ariella, an 8 year old Shar Pei cross who was rescued from a farm worker who couldn't afford to feed a litter of pups.
Ariella & Zoë are not cat-friendly, Ariella is an avid hunter of anything that moves and they have never been socialised with other dogs, but could be, given the chance.
They can be separated or homed together, Zoë needs additional support as she has separation anxiety as a result of her trauma, but she is extremely loving, just wants to be close to her person and has been an absolute blessing and joy.
Both sterilised, please contact Amanda on 084 287 5050 if you can offer a Foster or Forever home or contribute towards their boarding fees which are R1,500 per month plus a backlog.
